As the title for this video suggests, we are  going to be covering a relatively new project:  

an exchange that operates with the  lowest trading fees in the market.

Why are trading fees such a big deal? In trading,  we make money by buying an asset and then selling  

it at a higher price or, if we short trade,  we make a profit by entering a short position  

and then exiting it. In any case, for us to make  a profit, we first need to open a position (which  

counts as one trade), and then we need to close  that position (which counts as another trade).

Popular exchanges charge around 0.1% in fees  for each trade; some exchanges charge more,  

and some exchanges charge less. I  will touch upon this in just a while.

What is important to understand is that high fees  make it significantly difficult for day traders  

and high-frequency traders to enter profitable  trades, especially when the market is flat and not  

too volatile. That especially applies to assets  with high liquidity (such assets include BTC,  

ETH, DOT, and other top cryptos  by total market capitalization).

So, scalpers and trading bots cannot really  make easy money today - that is, up until now.

Let me give you an example of a major pain point  in trading. If I want to trade Bitcoin, let's say,  

and I'm planning to enter a long position at  this price and exit my position at this price,  

how much profit will I make if I trade BTC  on Binance, for example? 0.06% in profit?  

Wrong. My profit would be 0. And that is if I  trade via perpetual contracts, which is the best  

option when it comes to trading fees on Binance.  Maker-taker fees on Binance equal 0.06%,  

so by scalping Bitcoin, I would  make no profit in this particular  

situation. All of my profit would go  to Binance in the form of trading fees.

Unfortunately, fees represent a big problem.  Many exchanges charge extremely high  

fees, which makes day trading and high-frequency  trading challenging and oftentimes impractical.  

Up until now, there was no alternative to solve  this issue. There was literally no premium quality  

exchange that would satisfy the needs of  traders specializing in profiting off of small  

price changes and making a fast  profit off reselling assets.

However, the times have changed. Mayex, a platform  that I am going to be reviewing in this video,  

seems to be finally filling the gap.

Before I begin speaking about the key  competitive advantages of the Mayex exchange,  

let us first touch upon the backbone of this  project, this organization. Who is the Mayex team?

If you are an exchange and you help your customers  (aka traders) make more money by minimizing  

the fees, you have higher volume on your  exchange, and you ultimately have more returning

and I will not be surprised if we hear more and  more about this exchange over a period of time.

Just like I mentioned in the  introduction section of this video.  

Mayex offers the lowest fees in  the market which makes trading,  

especially day trading and high-frequency  trading, relevant and potentially profitable.

To give you a better understanding of  the fee structure, here Mayex is compared  

to the top leading centralized exchanges  that currently dominate the crypto field.

Mayex is compared to Binance, Coinbase, and FTX.  Just like I told you. Binance charges 0.1%*2=0.2%  

in maker-taker fees on their spot market.  (By comparison, Mayex charges no fees  

on their spot market). When it comes to  perpetual contracts on Binance, fees are  

almost 3 times higher here in comparison with  Mayex. On Binance, it is 0.02% + 0.04% = 0.06%.  

And on Mayex, it is 0.025%. A significant  difference. And you will realize how  

significant it is when I complete a few  trades myself and show you the results.

None of these other exchanges, and  I'm talking about Coinbase and FTX,  

stand near Mayex when it comes to service fees.

Coinbase doesn’t have derivatives, but the  spot commission rate is through-the-roof. The  

maker-taker fees are 1%. This is  insane. If you use Coinbase for trading,  

I bet you are not a profitable  trader. FTX is also far behind Mayex.

Before I open a few positions myself  and show you how the exchange works,

Now let me show you how Mayex works.  I am going to enter a few trades. So,  

sit back, relax, and let me  show you the magic of scalping.

I am going to enter my first trade.  I am going to open a short position.  

I select a desired pair. My  multiplicator is finalized.  

It is going to be a market order. Now,  I am going to click on Open Short.  

My unrealized PNL is green, which is a good sign.  

I am going to exit my trade, I am  closing this as a market order.  

Now, let’s repeat the same thing again.  Watch me entering a few more trades.

This is going to be my last  trade. This time around,  

I am going to use the Take Profit feature.  I click on Open. Now, my position is open.

I am going to set up my take profit. When  I hit this price, my order is going to be  

closed. You can automate the process with the  Take Profit / Stop Loss feature. It is super  

simple. In fact, most of these automation  tools look exactly the same as they look  

on other major exchanges. So, you won’t have  difficulties getting used to this interface.

I just made $5.90 by placing several high and  low leverage orders and instantly closing them.

In one of my previous videos, I mentioned that  I am not a big fan of high leverage trading when  

it comes to position trading specifically.  As a reminder, a position trader buys and  

holds an investment for an extended period of  time with the expectation that the investment  

will grow in value over weeks and months. This  type of trading is the opposite of day trading.

Day traders, scalpers specifically, make the most  

profits when they use a high multiplicator.  Because scalpers operate on short intervals.  

So, trading at 10x and even 20x is  totally acceptable when we day trade.

Now, pay attention. I paid $2.34 in  fees. My current balance is $205.90.

For the record, if I made the same  trades on Binance today, I would have  

paid roughly $5.61 in fees and my total  balance would have been around $202.63.  

So, I would literally have made half the  profit (the time would have been wasted).

Finally, if I completed the same trades on  FTX, I would have ended up losing money. My  

fees would roughly be $25.27 and I would  have ended up with a total balance of  

$182.97. So, it would have been a major loss  for me. Coinbase does not offer derivatives. But  

as you have already noticed, fees related to the  spot market are even higher than fees on FTX.

So, what have we learned today?

There are specific types of trading  such as scalping. Up until now,  

scalping was difficult due to high fees imposed on  traders on major centralized exchanges. However,  

things are different now and we see unique  service providers such as Mayex that fill  

the gap in the crypto trading field. With  low fees come more profitable opportunities.
