the CPA exam with only ninja products

and what prompted me to make this video

is I got an email from Chris he says

I've been a member of your online forum

for quite a while and was excited to see

you has started to offer your own review
[26]
course I sent you a tweet earlier about
[30]
instructions on how to use the materials
[32]
one of my major issues with using my
[36]
current course was I was sent a bundle
[40]
of material but with no plan of attack
[42]
on how to effectively use the materials
[44]
needless to say it wasn't a rewarding
[47]
experience this evening I plan to buy
[49]
your complete package
[50]
I'm hoping that I can get some clear
[51]
direction on how I should spend my time
[54]
with the material again that's from
[56]
Chris now I tell people all the time
[58]
that yes you can pass using only ninja
[62]
but I really never walked people through
[65]
how exactly to do that and so I'm going
[69]
to attempt to do so so ninja has grown
[73]
from just being notes and audio to now
[79]
providing a complete book we have our
[83]
own empty queue packaged audio notes
[86]
blitz flashcards study planner and
[90]
survival guide and so ninja itself has
[93]
grown into quite a large package and so
[98]
people don't know how to study with it
[100]
so let's break that down going back to
[103]
the old school ninja framework the
[106]
framework that started it all so the
[110]
ninja framework used to be nail the
[113]
videos but I have since changed that to
[116]
nail the concepts because you don't need
[119]
a video course to pass the CPA exam you
[122]
just need to understand the concepts so
[124]
the N and ninja is to nail the concepts
[128]
what this means is that you need to go
[130]
through your core materials first
[133]
and so what this means with the ninja
[136]
package you need to read the ninja book
[138]
cover-to-cover the four Ninja books are
[141]
approximately 500 pages each and well
[147]
special about ninja book is that a lot
[150]
of review companies they make a hybrid
[153]
of a CPA Review book plus an accounting
[157]
textbook plus an accounting slash tax
[162]
manual and that's not what you need
[165]
which is why people pay a lot of money
[170]
for an instructor to open up that book
[173]
and then explain what in the world is in
[176]
the book and so what ninja book does is
[178]
it gets rid of all the excess you if
[181]
it's in ninja book you need to know
[184]
because every concept in ninja book has
[188]
a direct CPA exam application and so
[192]
instead of opening your CPA Review book
[195]
and an instructor staying in front of a
[197]
video telling you what's in the book
[200]
instead I just made a better book so
[204]
ninja book replaces your video course
[207]
so you nail the concepts with the ninja
[210]
book which means that you have to read
[212]
it and you know as far as accounting
[216]
books go it's pretty good it's not a
[221]
it's not a Vince Vince Flynn novel or
[223]
anything but it gets the job done okay

so you read the Ninja book

cover-to-cover
[232]
thus begins you nailing the concepts

when you start your journey as you're
[239]
starting in week one it doesn't matter
[242]
if you have so like like the ninja audio
[247]
it covers all of the topics so you don't
[249]
have to read for instance the ninja book
[252]
for bonds in order to listen to the
[255]
ninja audio covering accounting changes
[258]
because the goal of the ninja audio is
[260]
is to put the material in your in your
[263]
head and for you to listen to it as many
[265]
times as possible
[267]
between when you purchase and exam day
[269]
so the average ninja audio is maybe
[273]
three hours and so if you if you have an
[277]
hour commute each day well then then you
[281]
can listen to it one to two times a week
[283]
during your commute and then while you
[285]
work you can listen to it all day at
[287]
work which if it were me I'd much rather
[291]
listen to music but if you can if you
[293]
can stand this if you can stand the
[295]
sound of my voice for eight hours and I
[296]
understand if you can't you can listen
[299]
to ninja audio 24/7 if you want
[303]
something that can really put you to
[304]
sleep at night listen to it right before
[306]
you go to sleep too but so you start
[309]
reading you start reading the ninja book
[311]
you start that process and and you treat
[312]
it like it's your video course except
[314]
you are reading it every time you get in
[317]
the car so you load the ninja audio onto
[320]
your onto your phone or into your mp3
[323]
player if people still use mp3 players
[326]
so you live on to your iPhone your
[328]
Android whatever and listen to it in the
[332]
car listen to it in the gym listen to it
[335]
as you as you mow the yard and so listen
[340]
to it as many times as possible
[342]
also the ninja notes print them out load
[345]
them on your iPad your tablet whatever
[347]
take them with you everywhere you go and
[350]
I mean everywhere you go so that is the
[356]
nail the concepts the end and ninja so
[360]
we're reading our book listen to the
[363]
ninja audio 24/7 taking our ninja notes
[366]
everywhere we go next is we're taking
[370]
intense notes as you read the ninja book
[374]
take intense notes get a go to your
[379]
friendly neighborhood office supply
[381]
store buy a stack of legal pads and just
[385]
go to town start writing just start
[388]
making furious CPA exam scribbles over
[392]
topics if you didn't know it or if you
[395]
think you forget it
[396]
write it down take really good notes if
[398]
you're listening to the ninja audio
[400]
and you want to take notes and I should
[405]
also back up at this point you're not
[407]
you're not working any multiple choice
[409]
questions except for what is in the
[412]
ninja book there are application
[413]
questions the ninja book does not put
[416]
all the questions at the back that at
[418]
the end of the chapter I don't like that
[420]
the the question so you have the concept
[423]
in then you have the direct CPA exam
[425]
application right away so there's no
[427]
delay there no flipping back and forth
[429]
so again at this point you're not doing
[433]
any multiple-choice questions in any
[434]
software because you are nailing the
[437]
concepts after you get through your book
[439]
after you get to the ninja book and
[442]
after you've taken your notes then you
[446]
move on to the end which is nonstop
[448]
multiple-choice questions and the reason
[449]
for this is because if you do chapter 1
[452]
a ninja book and then do the
[455]
corresponding section and ninja mcq and
[457]
then just do you know chapter 1 book
[461]
chapter 1 mcq chapter 2 book section 2
[464]
mcq basically you were going to have to
[467]
redo all those questions anyway because
[469]
what you learn in week 1 you want to
[471]
forget in week 7 and so this is just a
[475]
more efficient method of studying same
[477]
way if your review instructor assigns
[478]
homework after each section I recommend
[482]
not doing that
[484]
sure you can and it might be an
[487]
effective use of time but it's not an
[489]
efficient use of time so step 3 now we
[494]
read the book we're listening to the
[496]
audio 24/7 our notes are with us
[498]
everywhere we go
[498]
now we log in to NJ mtq and it's time to
[503]
start crankin so ninja mtq has adaptive
[506]
learning which means simply means the
[509]
software knows what you don't there are
[512]
two options you can go topic by topic or
[515]
just do a 20 question set of multiple
[518]
choice questions and just let the
[519]
software feed you questions I personally
[523]
like to drill down by topic so you can
[526]
study bonds topic by topic and go bonds
[530]
pensions inventory whatever or you can
[533]
just let the
[534]
Peter feed feed it to you it doesn't
[535]
matter what you are what your preference
[539]
is the goal with with non-stop mcq is to
[544]
hit the review phase and how you hit the
[548]
review how you hit the review phase so
[550]
ninja mtq has three phases assessment
[553]
adaptive and review your assessment
[556]
phase is the thirst is the first 35
[558]
percent of the material it's figuring
[560]
out what you know and what you don't
[562]
then the adaptive learning kicks in and
[564]
it starts hitting your weaknesses more
[566]
often you hit the review phase when you
[568]
have successfully answered all questions
[573]
correctly
[574]
at least once and the goal is to hit the
[578]
review phase because you've answered all
[580]
the questions at least once as you do
[583]
your multiple choice questions continue

to take notes so you have this killer
[587]
stack of legal pads continue to take
[589]
notes

the j-just rewrite it and I had to
[595]
figure out a clever way to fit a J and a
[599]
ninja so rewrite into work so you just
[603]
rewrite it makes sense right okay so you
[606]
have this killer stack of legal pads
[608]
from your notes from the ninja notes
[610]
that you've scribbled stuff down from
[613]
the audio from your book and JMT q you
[616]
have this awesome stack of legal pads
[618]
and that's great except writing taking
[626]
notes one time is only slightly less
[631]
worthless than highlighting in a book
[633]
okay so it's great that you took the
[637]
notes but you need to take them to the
[639]
next level you take those furious
[641]
scribbles and turn them into fact
[644]
nuggets I recommend taking graphing
[647]
paper making a line down the middle and
[650]
on the left side you just start making
[653]
little bullet points little notes and
[655]
you can fill up you can fill up two
[659]
sides of each of each graph paper page
[663]
and I would rewrite your notes so you're
[665]
taking your your long form notes and
[668]
turn them into fact nuggets and then
[671]
what you have there is review gold take
[677]
that with you every where you go the a
[682]
this is where it all comes together and
[685]
you are about one week out let me back
[687]
up rewrite your notes and I didn't
[689]
mention this but on the slide do this
[691]
two weeks from exam day because it will
[693]
probably take you about a week to
[695]
rewrite your notes now it might seem
[699]
like a waste of time it's not it might
[702]
seem like it takes forever
[703]
it does it does pay off because you are
[708]
having to because what you were reading
[710]
your book or whatever you thought
[713]
through the material once you wrote it
[714]
down this is causing you to not only
[717]
look at the material I mean anyone can
[719]
scan notes that's great it's causing you
[722]
to scan your notes and reword them into
[726]
little fat nuggets so so it it it reward
[731]
them into phrases that really stick with
[733]
you that really make sense to you so do
[736]
this two weeks out if you're one week
[738]
out from your exam do not rewrite your
[740]
notes okay so now we are one week out
[743]
from exam day we've we've read our ninja
[749]
book we've listened to the ninja into
[751]
audio like at least 10 times we've read
[753]
through the ninja notes too many times
[755]
to count because we read them first
[758]
thing or in the morning at lunch at
[761]
night before you go to bed and
[764]
everywhere we drive we're listening to
[766]
the ninja audio we've really written our
[768]
notes we carry those with us everywhere
[770]
and we hit the review phase in ninja mtq
[774]
and now now we are when we get from our
[778]
exam start with your weakest topic so if
[781]
you are in if you take a regulation and
[784]
you know that you're really weak on
[787]
corporate taxation start there
[790]
just drill down and do all of your
[792]
corporate taxation questions
[793]
and do that until you're hitting about a
[796]
70% proficiency that's an arbitrary
[799]
number but good enough to move on
[800]
because time is of the essence meet you
[802]
you cannot be an expert in corporate
[804]
accounting or corporate tax you can't
[806]
you have to be good enough for the exam
[808]
and so let's say your next week's topic
[812]
is agency law so then you move on to
[815]
agency law and just arbitrarily figure
[818]
out what your weakest topic is and move
[820]
towards your strongest topic as you are
[823]
trendy or as you are working through
[825]
your review your final week your goal is
[829]
to have a trending score of 85% now not
[832]
everyone will hit 85% some people hit 70
[835]
some people are trending 75 percent a
[838]
score and 80 some people are trending 65
[841]
and score and 80 everyone's different
[844]
but this is what I know
[846]
and this is from this is from a big poll
[848]
that I did people who trended 85 percent
[851]
and hit the review phase so they're
[854]
trending 85% and they hit the review
[856]
phase which means they did every
[857]
question correctly at least once 85 to
[861]
90 percent of them passed and the people
[863]
who didn't I would say a large
[864]
percentage of them had done the question
[866]
so many times that they that they had
[868]
memorized the answers I don't know that
[870]
for a fact that's just my guess and so
[872]
if you're trending 85 and you hit the
[876]
review you stand an excellent chance of
[879]
passing and now you have ninja Blitz two
[884]
to three which is basically a hybrid of
[888]
the notes and audio and and it's a video
[891]
of PowerPoint watch that two to three
[893]
days before your exam maybe even the day
[895]
before your exam ok again this is final
[901]
the final week for your exam ninja notes
[904]
read them one day before your exam read
[906]
your notes one day before your exam ok
[910]
on exam day get up maybe work a section
[915]
of ninja mtq of your weakest topic read
[918]
the ninja notes again if you can't I
[920]
like to schedule my exams or I want to
[923]
take the exam I like to schedule them
[924]
like at around 1 1 p.m. the way you have
[926]
to get up around 6:00
[927]
and just study for 4 hours some people
[929]
say don't study the day of your exam or
[931]
the day before I don't agree with that
[933]
so read your ninja notes again if you
[936]
can on your way to the exam center
[939]
listen to the ninja audio over your
[942]
weakest topic okay and when you get
[945]
there they say to show up 30 minutes
[946]
early it's up to you whether or not you
[948]
want to do that
[948]
I personally stayed in my vehicle and I
[951]
studied so maybe listen to 15 minutes of
[955]
the ninja audio 15 to 30 minutes on your
[957]
way to the testing center just because a
[961]
lot of the exam lends itself to your
[964]
short-term memory and so whatever you
[967]
can cram into your head and then barf
[969]
out on exam day more power to you and so
[972]
listen to the ninja audio of your
[974]
weakest topic maybe something will stick
[976]
it might be the difference between a 74
[978]
and a 75 and also before you go in
[981]
quickly glance over like the five or six
[983]
pages of ninja notes over your weakest
[985]
topic again just cram that material into
[987]
your head maybe maybe you hate
[989]
not-for-profit accounting and you refuse
[992]
to study it but you cram the ninja notes
[994]
in your head over that topic and then
[995]
you go in take your exam so if if you

have the ninja products I want to know
