[4]
cover the top 25 most valuable baseball
cards from the 1980s you may have some
[10]
of the cards in this video but that
doesn't mean you can sell them for this
[13]
much the reason these card self are
selling for so much is because they're
[18]
created PSA 10 gym and condition now
some may be MIT 9s but for the most part
[24]
they're all going to be PSA 10s and the
population report is referring to how
[29]
many PSA 10s are in existence if you go
to PSA car comm type in your one of the
[36]
cards in this video in the population
report you'll see some cards have 19
[40]
thousand cards submitted but only 54
were found in gem mint condition
[45]
ok for the most part these cards are
rare because of because of the condition
[50]
of Turin that's entering the corner
edges and the surface okay those are the
[54]
four main grading criteria that
third-party grading companies determine
[59]
the grade of a car died
and these cards met or exceeded that
[63]
mint or gem mint expectations so now

[832]
Charlotte oz Cal Ripken jr. minor-league
card number 16 graded PSA 8 near-mint to
[841]
mint condition population of just 13
with none graded higher sold at auction
[847]
in August of 2019 for 9600 dollars
[860]
number one as you all probably know is
the 1980 tops Ricky Henderson rookie
[868]
card number 482 graded PSA 10 gem mint
condition population of just 24 sold at
[878]
auction in July of 2018 for $30,000
all right guys what's important here
[886]
with this Ricky Henderson rookie card
the population of the PSA gem mint tens
[892]
is just 24 that's how that's the only
reason it's able to achieve a $30,000
[898]
selling price on average all right look
it up online on eBay or PSA card calm
[906]
those puppies so on average for 25,000
to 30,000 dollars been found in PSA 10
[913]
gem mint condition
[918]
all right guys so I'm going to show you
how to look up a population report for a
[923]
card all right first thing you want to
do is go to PSA card calm and up here in
[928]
the blue menu you're on it want to hit
pop report all right and that's gonna
[932]
bring you to this menu
so let's look up that nineteen eighty
[936]
tops Rickey Henderson
[943]
just type it in and it's going to pull
up right down here automatically now
[947]
this is the power of the PSA 10 chimp
int value all right as you can see over
[955]
here this is how many cards have been
submitted so far for the Rickey
[958]
Henderson
so about 19,000 700 of the Rickey
[961]
Henderson cards have been submitted of
those cards only 24 that were found in
[966]
Jim mint condition ok this is why they
sell for so much money
[971]
because only 24 are in a PSA 10 case all
right
[976]
1930 are at a mint 9 case 9,227 are in a
near-mint to mint near-mint to mint 8
[984]
case 4826 are in a near mint case and so
forth and it keeps going on 19 were just
[993]
deemed authentic the card itself is not
rare no it's the chimp in condition
[1000]
grade that's rare okay now if you go up
here to this little auction I'm just
[1004]
gonna have a list of all the cards all
the grades click 10 and then it pulls up
[1009]
all the recent sales so August 8 2019
one sold for
[1024]
PwC see sold one for 25,000 Holy Grail
25,000 and then here's the 30,000 won
[1032]
that I have in this video by heritage
auctions so you can see it's between
[1040]
twenty-five and thirty thousand thirty
thousand thirty six thousand on the high
[1044]
end and twenty-two on the low twenty-one
on the low end down in 2017 yeah look at
[1055]
that card the values are just in two
thousand nine one sold for $7,000
[1060]
all right 2012 once whole for 11 so you
can see that price has gone up not much
[1067]
since 2015 no because it's month sold
for $30,000 2015 alright guys so I just
[1073]
wanted to show that show that to you and
point that out real quick that way
[1076]
there's no questions or confusion about
why these Ricky Henderson cards and PSA
[1082]
10 Jim mint condition sell for so much
okay it's because only 24 cards exist in
[1088]
the PSA 10 case so just wanted to
clarify that alright guys that's it it's
[1094]
a top 25 most valuable baseball cards
from the 1980s I hope you enjoyed the
[1099]
