Short-Term Delivery Insurance for Restaurants and Small Businesses During the Coronavirus - YouTube
Channel: Colony Solutions - Commercial Insurance Resources
[0]
Hey everyone Freddie Servin here with
colony insurance solutions back with
[5]
another quick video on the impacts of
the corona virus on small businesses and
[14]
dealing with insurance related topics
and issues so has your restaurant or
[23]
small business
been shut down from the national crisis
[27]
created by the corona virus or has your
restaurant maybe gone to delivery maybe
[37]
you never currently done delivery but
need to in order to remain open during
[44]
the corona virus outbreak I did a video
a past video about this delivery is
[52]
creating a whole new set of challenges
for restaurants and businesses when it
[58]
comes to food delivery lawsuits can
become very expensive on this side
[68]
anywhere from thirty thousand up to
thirty million or higher when these
[75]
types of incidents happen and so to be
in delivery you need a specialized
[83]
insurance coverage known as hired and
non own auto this coverage protects your
[92]
business from third-party liability
created when your employees deliver for
[100]
you using their own vehicle or a rented
vehicle this coverage is an excess of
[107]
the drivers insurance on their own
vehicle so it's likely your current
[115]
insurance policy does not cover food
delivery even if the policy has hired an
[124]
on own auto only a handful of companies
provide this coverage when business are
[131]
using their employees
to do deliveries of your food products
[138]
so in response to that need we here at
colony insurance solutions are offering
[146]
a short term delivery insurance for
restaurants and businesses that don't
[152]
currently deliver but need to in order
to remain open during the coronavirus
[159]
now this is not an ad for my agency call
any insurance solutions so please don't
[167]
make the wrong assumption that I'm
trying to take advantage of a crisis
[171]
just to make money this is a public
service announcement
[177]
whether you work with us or not I would
actually encourage you to talk with your
[184]
agent someone who you trust to make sure
that you have the proper coverage
[191]
because it's likely like I said before
that your current insurance policies do
[197]
not cover food delivery and there are
literally tens of thousands of
[204]
businesses if not hundreds of thousands
of restaurants and small businesses that
[210]
have been forced to close that just five
days ago those businesses that wanted to
[215]
convert to delivery model would have had
to buy a 12-month policy that would be a
[222]
minimum of seven thousand dollars plus
tax and probably most would pay ten
[229]
thousand dollars or more and so today
for those same businesses they have a
[237]
better choice to pick the limits they
want and even how long they need the
[241]
coverage for so this is a great solution
for what you have going on now that can
[248]
potentially save your business thousands
of dollars while protecting you from
[254]
liability and I know some businesses are
taking the chance and delivering without
[261]
insurance because they can't afford it
but if you don't have a
[267]
you wanted to talk to there is a link
associated with this video to get a hold
[275]
of us we would be happy to talk with you
you could work with us and now we could
[281]
offer something that pre coronavirus you
could not get but now you can't get
[288]
insurance for a short timeframe just to
help you get through this difficult
[295]
situation and so thank you so much for
watching this video if you found it
[300]
helpful
go ahead and click the like button give
[304]
it a thumbs up or share it and click our
