the stock charts anyway the the charts are聽聽

curling up they're consolidating they're getting聽
ready for a big move um you know i'm not 100聽聽

certain which direction that's going to be but if聽
i had to guess it would be up i do think that this聽聽

industry is going up during this administration聽
uh so over the next you know three four years聽聽

i think there are a lot of gains to be had in聽
these stocks and the chart suggests that the聽聽

breakout is going to be to the upside so uh today聽
i told my channel members i invested in a cannabis聽聽

etf i have been talking about mj the etf uh in the聽
past on my live streams and some of my previous聽聽

videos i did not invest in mj etf today i chose聽
a different one and i'm going to talk about which聽聽

etf i invested in today and why in this video um聽
so i want to take you guys through the process聽聽

of of deciding that but first let me let me tell聽
you why i'm investing in a cannabis etf right now聽聽

so as i was just saying i do think this political聽
administration is va is very uh favorable to聽聽

legalizing uh marijuana federally for recreational聽
use uh you know across the entire united states at聽聽

some point during this administration's tenure聽
so i think when that happens or at least when聽聽

legislation starts going through congress we're聽
going to start seeing pretty big gains in the the聽聽

pot industry the stocks anyway the publicly traded聽
companies in the in the cannabis industry and聽聽

it that that's not where it's going to stop it's聽
not going to stop there when the legislation goes聽聽

through yes we're going to see big gains but also聽
that is going to make these companies far more聽聽

profitable there so their income statements聽
are going to start to look a lot better聽聽

their balance sheets are going to start to look聽
a lot better um from a financial and fundamentals聽聽

side these companies are going to start looking聽
better and better and better on paper over the聽聽

years so um you know a lot of hype right now uh聽
and these gains you you'll see big gains when聽聽

legislation goes through the administration and聽
eventually gets approved for recreational use that聽聽

will be you know based on the future potential of聽
the industry and then as we start to see you know聽聽

those those realizations come through i think聽
there will be even more gains in this industry聽聽

so i am very bullish on the pot industry over the聽
next three to four years at least and as l and as聽聽

long as it stays federally legal through the next聽
administration i you know i imagine that it's just聽聽

going to be like any other industry we're going聽
to have you know profits and and things like that聽聽

so should be good going forward um so let's talk聽
about which etf i chose and why okay so i have聽聽

talked about mj a lot on on this channel in the聽
past that's um you know mj is the is the ticker聽聽

it is an etf so it's a basket of pot stocks so if聽
you're trying to reduce your risk to the to any聽聽

particular pot company in the industry you can聽
buy an etf and it diversifies your money across聽聽

all of the companies or not all the companies聽
but whatever companies that etf chose to invest聽聽

in right so it diversifies across a bunch of聽
companies but there are many different etfs聽聽

to choose from mj is not the only one so i was聽
looking into investing into mj this morning right聽聽

and i wanted to look at some of the technicals i聽
personally think that this chart is looking good聽聽

you can see we've had a big run up since聽
middle of last year you know as soon as we saw聽聽

uh the white house flip blue and congress flipped聽
blue we started to see a lot of gains because聽聽

everybody thought okay with with you know a聽
blue executive branch there's a far higher聽聽

likelihood that we're going to see a legalized uh聽
marijuana industry right so we start seeing gains聽聽

and we had this big blow off top and now it's聽
been consolidating right this big blow off top聽聽

on big volume volume's been consolidating stock聽
price has been consolidating and that's all good聽聽

it's consolidating just like it did every other聽
time it's a little bit more extreme this time but聽聽

if you look back at these other consolidations聽
right big blow off top consolidation big run聽聽

up consolidation big run up consolidation and聽
now we have this big run up it was a blow off聽聽

top but we're just consolidating again it's a big聽
consolidation because it was a big run-up in price聽聽

right okay so that leaves us where we are today so聽
i think the chart looks good i wanted to see what聽聽

other platforms thought so i looked at trading聽
view oh they don't have a rating because it's an聽聽

etf it's not an actual uh stock right it's not a聽
it's not a company it's a basket of companies okay聽聽

so i go over to bar chart they do have a technical聽
opinion and it's a strong buy rating a 96 percent聽聽

buy with an average short term outlook on聽
maintaining the current direction okay that's good聽聽
[350]
long term indicators fully support continuation聽
trend that's great as well okay so it's looking聽聽

good for a long-term investment from bar charts聽
opinion um i scroll down as i always do before i聽聽

invest in a company i like to read up on聽
everything i see here on their on their little聽聽

profile here and i use other websites as well聽
i don't only use trading view and bar chart but聽聽

these are two tools that i do use so i'm looking聽
at all these numbers management fee okay i looked聽聽

at a bunch of etfs before i decided i noticed聽
this management fee is pretty much the same聽聽

on most of them the dividend is a little聽
bit higher on mj than most of the other etfs聽聽

so that's good for mj uh but it's not it's not a聽
huge it's not like it's not it doesn't really move聽聽

the needle for me uh it give it a one percent聽
dividend you know for for the year is just it聽聽

doesn't matter if you're going to choose an etf聽
that makes 50 a year vice another etf that makes聽聽

30 a year you know that's a 20 difference if one聽
of them is paying out a one percent dividend it's聽聽

just it just doesn't really matter all that聽
much anyway i scroll down here i'm reading聽聽

some of these articles i notice an article聽
that lists a bunch of different marijuana聽聽

etfs it's like okay that's interesting now聽
i can compare all of the different etfs in聽聽

the marijuana industry so i grab these etfs i go聽
over to trading view i pop them into trading view聽聽

and i start to overlay them this little compare聽
button um you know and i start to add them all聽聽

onto the same chart right so pot x overlay it okay聽
mj has outperformed pot x toke t-o-k-e overlay it聽聽

okay toke has slightly outperformed mj but i mean聽
they're pretty much the same th cxx i overlay it聽聽

okay thcx has uh outperformed nj by a pretty good聽
bit i mean not quite double uh but you know 39聽聽

return over the last year compared to 62聽
percent i mean it's a pretty good chunk of money聽聽

significant enough to choose it over mj right聽
yolo 110 return over the last i think i said year聽聽

a moment ago it's actually more like close聽
to a year and a half and then you got cnbs聽聽

which i guess is short for cannabis stock ticker聽
cnbs and it's sitting at 134 percent returns聽聽

over the same time frame mj is all the way down聽
here at 39 percent so you got all these different聽聽

etfs that track the marijuana industry uh and聽
they invest in whatever companies they choose to聽聽

invest in in their etf so they're going to be a聽
little different right each one of these are a聽聽

little different that's why they have different聽
returns right maybe some of them may choose聽聽

to invest in one company others may choose not聽
to invest in that in that company or or weight聽聽

that one particular company more heavily or less聽
heavily in their etf in their in their basket of聽聽

stocks right so cmbs has done a very good job of聽
choosing which companies at least in the past ha聽聽

you know have may have are going to make聽
the most money or have made the most money聽聽

right whereas mj uh has returned 39 percent over聽
this time frame cnbs has returned 134 now you know聽聽

prior uh performance is not necessarily indicative聽
of future performance you can read that in any聽聽

perspective of any stock or any uh investment聽
advisors uh you know disclosure absolutely聽聽

but you know if i had to pick one of these going聽
forward you're you know in my opinion i'm gonna聽聽

go with the one that has done better in the past聽
i think it's i think there's a better chance that聽聽

it's going to do better in the future right i mean聽
that's why you know you see me talk about arkhan聽聽

vest and kathy wood in a lot of my videos she did聽
so well in 2020 and not just 2020 uh the years聽聽

prior too she outperformed the s p 500 pretty聽
significantly almost every single year i think聽聽

i i said in one of my videos that there was only聽
one year since the inception of her etfs that she聽聽

didn't outperform the s p 500 and it's been like聽
seven years now or something like that so when you聽聽

find a winner you roll with it until it's not a聽
winner anymore right you stick with that momentum聽聽

because you believe that they're just doing things聽
better there they have it figured out right so聽聽

um cmbs here clearly the majority vast uh winner聽
here over mj at least um you know looks like yolo聽聽

is a pretty good investment uh choice as well i'm聽
not a financial advisor but you know look i mean聽聽

look we're just looking at who performed the best聽
over the last you know 15 16 months whatever it is聽聽

so it's pretty obvious right cnbs has just聽
done far better than any of these other stocks聽聽

yolo to a lesser extent but definitely聽
better than mj and pot x has just done聽聽

i don't know what they're invested in but it's聽
they're they're choosing the wrong stocks there聽聽

anyway um so that's what i went with guys i went聽
with cnbs and look what happened today uh they聽聽

were up more than half a percent while mj was down聽
one percent um so it's kind of a fun i you know聽聽

i don't know that it's a coincidence or not but聽
you know the day that i choose to start investing聽聽

into or i started a position i'm scaling聽
into it a position in um cannabis etfs聽聽

you know the etf that i choose is up while聽
the etf that i was considering is down聽聽

that honestly did not factor into my decision聽
to invest in this particular etf it's just聽聽

a coincidence that it is up the day that i聽
invested it vice the etf that i was considering聽聽

investing in is down um but you know i wonder聽
i do wonder if that's kind of indicative of聽聽

how this performs you know we saw we just聽
saw on the overlay that cmbs just does聽聽

much much better than mj over the long term聽
so you have these little days like this where聽聽

mj is down one percent cmbs is up you know聽
a little more than half percent and that聽聽

adds up if it's like that every day it's not聽
going to be like that every day but you know聽聽

if it's like that a couple days a week where聽
it outperforms mj by one and a half percent聽聽

if it does that once or twice a week that adds up聽
quick over the long term all right so that's what聽聽

i got guys i invested in cnbs it's a cannabis etf聽
uh small position for now but i will be scaling聽聽

into it over the long term all right so that's聽
