1st Private Innovation Circle: the power of disruptive innovation - YouTube

Channel: unknown

[9]
Ladies and gentlemen, we have seen many companies start from tiny beginnings
[15]
over the last decade and explode into some of the world's great giants.
[27]
The idea of the First Private Innovation Circle was to bring together people that
[34]
have developed ideas in a number of sectors that are very relevant in
[39]
today's world, such as waste management, health, fuel and energy efficiencies. We've
[47]
chose basically eight companies we thought were both transformational and
[51]
very interesting for many of the clients we have here today. Hydrus has changed
[56]
the game in the treatment of frac water and we've raised the bar by delivering
[61]
an on-site mobile, chemical free process to treat frac water and make it
[66]
available for reuse or safe discharge to the environment. We take municipal waste,
[72]
the gases out of it are extricated, they are used to produce electricity to
[77]
create our process sustainable and we turn them into a useable compost that
[83]
can be used in agriculture. Our company is all about finding solutions for food
[89]
and beverage manufacturers to reduce calories without sacrificing taste, to
[94]
help address the major epidemics out there of obesity and diabetes.
[98]
At BioHitech, we think of waste differently: utilizing a combination of mechanical
[103]
and biological treatment, the Eco-Safe Digester rapidly decomposes food waste
[108]
into gray water that can safely be discharged to standard drain lines. Our
[113]
company is all about a premium, healthy, coconut water drink that we produce
[120]
and which is able to cover a market for 35 country in the world. So now we've
[127]
been invited to present here today our aspirations, which are to globalize our company
[132]
to take our products into all the major markets and today was an opportunity for
[136]
us to meet people, to develop contacts and relationships that can allow us to
[140]
expand our business beyond the Australian shores into the high-value
[143]
markets. So we have this database, we built this database, because we couldn't
[147]
find one of our own, we couldn't buy it from anybody, so we had to make it
[151]
ourselves. What that enables us to do is to build a proprietary market map of
[155]
European real estate transaction, which is right now about 500. All the
[159]
airlines in the world have decided to sign on under IATA
[163]
to reduce a carbon footprint. So they are looking for a source of sustainable
[169]
biofuels in order to meet that gap. What Solena does, is that we have taken
[174]
this technology and combined it with a plasma based technology, which is a NASA
[179]
developed technology, to create a synthetic jet fuel
[183]
utilizing waste. Now, we come up with the technology you see here on on the
[188]
picture, which actually makes the home connected. Every thing in your home, every light,
[193]
every push-button, whatever you want, because this is a computer that can do
[196]
six things: it can switch, dim and measure electricity, it's a computer, you
[201]
can store data on it and it communicates over the power line. With that you make
[206]
your house fully connected - everything. For me, it was engaging with other people
[210]
of like mind who think of an idea and have the the courage to act on their
[216]
convictions. Of course electronics has created a worldwide electronic community,
[221]
but at the end of the day people still need face-to-face time, get to know each
[226]
other, look each other in the eye and be able to talk from the heart.
