What is LS Nav? All-in-one retail and
hospitality business management solution.

Earlier this year we released LS Nav 2018

which is a logical continuation of
the previous version, 2017. This fall we

will introduce LS Nav 365, a new
generation that is built both for the

cloud and on-premises deployment.LS Nav 2018 is built on Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

LS Nav 365 on Dynamics 365 in the
cloud and on-premises is built on Microsoft麓s

newly released Microsoft Dynamics 365
Business Central. All three solutions

offer the same business functionality.
Let's look at head office users and

functionality. LS Nav 2018 and 365
on-premises, pack- and user-based, have

concurrent full users and a store pack
for each store. You need to purchase our

starter or extended pack for both
Microsoft and LS Nav per license.

On the other side we have user-based
subscription and named users.

There are two types of users that
include the functionality:

We have the Essential user which includes Dynamics
365 Business Central essential user

that includes financial, customer
relations, warehouse, human resources and

project management, and other
functionality. The user has full access

to the LS Nav functionality that
includes the starter and extended packs.

Then we have a Premium user which includes
all the functionality of the Essential

user, in addition to service order
management and manufacturing.

Then we have retail device, per device where you can perform retail hospitality processes at location.

Limited user and team user are
supported. 2018 and 365 on-premises offer

prepaid licenses or perpetual license. In
addition to monthly subscription which

includes enhancement plan where the
prepaid license does not. LS Nav 365

on Dynamics 365 offers monthly
subscription which includes enhancement

plan, infrastructure, platform and
platform management.

This means: no hardware investment,
you only need to log on. Important for

upgrading and new implementations. The
selection of the version is NOT the most

important thing. We recommend not to
change standard code,

neither Microsoft or LS Nav.
Customization and changes should be done

by using Events and Extension version 2,
also known as VS Code. This protects your

investment as Extension 2 VS Code works
with all three solutions. Choose any

solution. You have the option to move to
another solution at a later date, if you

choose to do so. Your customization
extensions are automatically moved

without an effort. Microsoft and LS Nav
modules are moved with standard

upgrade processes as there is no change
to standard code. License migration

would like to move to LS Nav 365 on

Dynamics 365 in the cloud or Software as a
Service, LS Nav license purchased

that is on an active enhancement plan
