How To Browse the MPC Studio Sounds & Drum Samples - YouTube
Channel: unknown
[8]
Hi there, in this tutorial i'm going to walk you through the process of how you can search for your sounds and samples using MPC Studio.
[16]
Let's dive straight in.
[18]
In this tutorial i'm going to show you how you can access all of the factory content that comes with your MPC Studio.
[23]
so you can navigate around drum kits, samples, demos and templates so you can start making beats
[30]
Now within the software we want to make sure that we got our media browser selected which we can turn on and off,
[36]
and then inside this we can see all of our expansions that we've installed.
[40]
So i've got gold dust highlighted and then underneath this we have five different filter taps.
[45]
Programs allow us to access all of the drum kits then we have presets for any instrument presets projects for project demos,
[54]
sequences for pre-made sequences and then samples for accessing all of the sample sounds.
[61]
Now on our MPC Studio if we press the browser button i can now preview on the screen all of the different drum kits available inside the expansion.
[70]
As we scroll through we get an audio preview.
[73]
Once you find a kit you like push down on the data wheel and that loads into memory.
[75]
Press the main button and we can now play the kit.
[84]
Now if we press the browser button again we go straight back into the media browser and we can start looking for drum kits again.
[91]
If we find another kit that we like, push down on the data wheel and now if we go to main menu,
[98]
this time press the program select and we can now choose between the two drum kits that we've loaded.

00:01:51 --> 01:59
If we now navigate to the sample tab in our media browser we can now search through all of the samples that are available in the expansion pack.
[120]
If you want to navigate to another expansion just click on the pack.
[124]
Now our media browser allows us to speed up our search, we can search by genre type, by family instrument and by instrument type.
[132]
So i've got drums, then i can select clap.
[134]
I now see all of the claps that are inside the expansion.
[138]
So now if i hit my browser, i can now search and preview all of my claps.
[143]
Hit the pad, push down on the data wheel and now that clap is loaded on the pad.
[150]
To find more samples just simply repeat the process using your data wheel.
[155]
Now we've also included a demos and templates expansion that you can use to get you started.
[160]
If you click on the project tab under the demos and templates expansion you can now navigate using the browser through all of the demo tracks,
[170]
and each demo track has a dedicated template with all of the tracks and instruments that you need to make that genre of music.
[179]
Now once you find a demo that you like simply click on the template,
[186]
and this has now loaded all of the sounds ready for you to start making some beats.
[190]
So if you now navigate to your main menu, on track one you're going to have your drums with all of the sounds assigned,
[198]
track 2 is going to have an 808 from f9 and if you hit shift and 16 levels we've already set all of the key information for the track,
[207]
so all you need to do is play some drums and play a bass line.
[211]
So let's go to track one and hit record.
[228]
Now let's go to track two and now let's play our bass line
[247]
Now if we navigate a track three, let's lay down a lo-fi piano.
[260]
As you can see demo templates makes it really fast and intuitive for you to start making music.
