Channel: BitBoy Crypto

[0]
welcome to bit boy crypto the people's
[3]
channel over the bit squad the largest
[5]
greatest crypto community on all the
[6]
interwebs no channel works harder to
[9]
keep you in the know about crypto that's
[11]
right guys we finally got the demon back
[13]
we got the new wheels on the demon we
[15]
are heading to a uh to a ball tournament
[18]
uh today so no sunday drive on the way
[20]
to church but uh you know sometimes you
[23]
gotta play baseball on a sunday it is
[24]
what it is uh guys i have got such a big
[28]
video for you guys for my xrp army
[31]
people
[32]
where are you i almost forgot to do this
[34]
video today i've been planning on it for
[36]
several days
[38]
but i just want to go over we're going
[40]
to start by talking about what happened
[41]
at the bitcoin conference and i'm going
[44]
to tell you how it was a
[47]
flashing
[48]
neon
[49]
sign for xrp and by the way all the xrp
[53]
army out there
[54]
um you know basically the long and the
[56]
short of it is that um you know i i
[60]
talked to some people this weekend i've
[62]
been on twitter i've been looking at
[64]
what's been going on with the hashtag
[66]
eathgate situation
[68]
um ultimately
[70]
i don't know what's going on with that
[71]
it looks like you know john deaton is
[73]
just digging up more and more and more
[75]
stuff stuff that could actually be used
[77]
in the xrp sec lawsuit if that comes to
[80]
fruition well i have to give this uh
[82]
story a little bit more credibility uh
[84]
basically the implication here is that
[86]
uh you know simpson thatcher who's part
[89]
of the ethereum alliance
[91]
um gave a bunch of money to william
[93]
henman during this time uh maybe joseph
[95]
lubin maybe consensus uh the company
[98]
consensus is involved in this uh the
[100]
company that runs metamask and look all
[102]
that is certainly possible i'm gonna
[104]
still stand by my argument that i made
[105]
in the beginning the ethereum alliance
[107]
is not ethereum itself so even if joseph
[110]
lubin and uh you know consensus is all
[113]
tied up into this and there is in fact a
[115]
uh a bribe conspiracy that is proven
[119]
it's not a reflection on ethereum it's a
[121]
reflection on the members of this
[123]
ethereum alliance um so i i still don't
[126]
like this narrative that's somehow like
[127]
aetherium is bad because you know you've
[130]
got some people in the background of it
[132]
you know that's like saying that you
[133]
know bitcoin is bad because
[136]
uh you know craig wright probably was
[138]
involved in the development and he's a
[140]
terrible person so bitcoin must be bad
[141]
it doesn't really make a lot of sense
[143]
but
[143]
let's go back i want to start with the
[146]
conference last week um and how this
[148]
ties into xrp uh you had michael saylor
[151]
on stage kathy wood on stage they had
[153]
quite a great talk they were talking
[155]
about
[156]
um you know bitcoin ethereum the market
[159]
i really like what michael saylor said
[161]
you know merrill lynch told him they
[162]
couldn't talk about bitcoin so he took
[164]
800 million or whatever it was
[166]
175 million dollars maybe it was to
[168]
another bank that was all cool you know
[170]
he ends by saying like listen
[172]
you know
[173]
the number one thing is make sure you
[175]
don't sell your bitcoin and everybody
[178]
the crowd goes wild everybody's clapping
[180]
everybody's excited about it
[182]
and uh you know michael saylor is the
[184]
cheerleader of bitcoin i mean that's
[186]
really the way that it is but you know
[188]
later in the day we got the talk from
[189]
jack mallors now or mo i think it's
[191]
mallors moller's mallards whatever i
[194]
already said my little piece about what
[195]
i think about jack muller's and his uh
[197]
you know i
[198]
just don't like people
[201]
profanity stricken tirades on a stage to
[204]
see meji that's really dorky in my
[206]
opinion but whatever
[208]
people can choose to talk the way they
[209]
want to talk whatever
[211]
but this supposed to be the big
[212]
announcement as i'm i'm at a vip table
[215]
um right next to the stage awaiting to
[218]
here um with a couple members of the bit
[220]
squad waiting to hear this announcement
[222]
from jack mullers and i get an alert on
[224]
my phone
[225]
uh look at it and what does it say it
[227]
says
[229]
oh my gosh if you thought last year's el
[231]
salvador announcement was big
[233]
wade until what jack mullers has to say
[235]
today
[237]
incredible right you're sitting there
[238]
what is gonna what is this what is this
[240]
gonna be you know we're going for an
[242]
entire country accepting bitcoin this is
[244]
gonna have to top that er the big rumors
[246]
are it's an apple announcement there's
[248]
an apple strike partnership coming
[250]
strike is jack muller's company which by
[252]
the way a completely centralized
[255]
payments company but i digress using
[258]
using the lightning network and i would
[260]
be really curious how many of you guys
[261]
even understand the lightning network if
[263]
you know what the lightning network is
[264]
drop a comment down below if you don't
[266]
know what the lightning network is drop
[267]
that down below really curious i assume
[269]
probably less than half my audience even
[271]
knows where the lightning network is but
[272]
whatever
[274]
jack mullers goes through an educational
[277]
journey
[278]
of payment networks and basically what
[280]
he does is he explains that since 1949
[284]
when diners club was created
[286]
uh which was the first credit card that
[288]
would eventually become um
[291]
i think it eventually becomes mastercard
[294]
i think
[295]
i can't remember exactly the order of
[296]
events but in 1949 it was started and
[299]
that is when a card payment network came
[302]
to fruition for that very first time
[304]
those transactions were going through in
[305]
1949
[307]
three percent charges three percent is
[310]
what
[311]
the car networks charge the retailers
[314]
for accepting a credit card so you go
[316]
spend a credit card
[317]
uh the cost is a hundred dollars ninety
[319]
seven dollars goes to a retailer three
[320]
percent goes to the car network jack
[322]
baller's gonna do this entire thing
[323]
where he explains how archaic this
[326]
system is and that there has to be a
[329]
great new system to come in place for
[333]
the first time in 70 years to innovate
[336]
and then he goes on to to basically
[337]
discuss
[339]
what that looks like uh they're uh
[341]
working now light network is working
[343]
with shopify they're working with ncr
[345]
which is the world's biggest point of
[347]
sale system all kinds of companies at
[349]
mcdonald's walgreens ted's montana grill
[352]
um you know yadda yadda bed bath and
[354]
beyond whatever
[356]
oh that's great
[357]
but here's the problem okay the problem
[360]
is
[361]
until
[362]
there is a motivation from the retail
[366]
side to force people to use the
[369]
lightning network via the cash app
[371]
to make their transactions it's great we
[374]
have another alternative but people are
[375]
going to really use it okay here's
[377]
this is why like i think it's so ironic
[380]
this was supposed to be a bitcoin
[381]
conference really exciting
[383]
jack muller's just advertised xrp he
[385]
advertised xrp without
[388]
even
[389]
knowing it
[390]
if you want to go to the diagrams it was
[392]
showing and you were to substitute
[394]
instead of
[396]
retail a person shopping
[400]
a store if instead of that with a card
[403]
network in the middle
[405]
if you were to say
[406]
a bank to a bank
[409]
with the swift network in the middle
[412]
it's the same exact system it's the same
[415]
exact system
[416]
both bitcoin and ripple network are
[419]
networks of value they are not networks
[422]
of information swift and car networks or
[426]
the main card network they are both
[429]
networks of information all they do is
[432]
tell people where the ones and zeros go
[435]
and then people on the back end have to
[437]
come in and make those changes and and
[439]
they charge three percent i don't know
[441]
what the percent that swift uh the swift
[443]
charges or i don't know how the
[445]
breakdown of those payments and charges
[447]
and fees go
[449]
but he was basically explaining
[451]
it's an archaic system it must be
[453]
overthrown today we have the technology
[456]
to do so
[457]
and we now have the network
[459]
but here's the problem for bitcoin jack
[462]
mullers could not
[464]
explain the motivation
[466]
from the retail side the only way that
[470]
we're going to see bitcoin adoption in
[472]
this way
[473]
is if
[474]
the retailers say we're not going to
[476]
accept cards you're only going to be
[478]
able to use the light net network you're
[479]
not going to be able to use the card
[481]
network
[482]
whereas
[482]
with xrp
[484]
all of the motivation
[486]
all the inspiration all the reasons to
[489]
use it
[490]
they're already built into the network
[491]
all you have to do is get hooked up with
[493]
ripple net
[495]
get the technology or get the uh get the
[497]
user interface
[498]
and boom it's right there
[500]
where is the downside you're saving six
[502]
to eight days six to eight business days
[505]
you're saving by using the xrp network
[508]
which
[510]
pales in comparison to the amount of
[511]
time that you're saving you're really
[513]
only saving percentages and dollars with
[516]
the bitcoin system using the lightning
[517]
network whereas with this you're saving
[520]
money you're saving time you're saving
[522]
resources you're able you don't have to
[525]
have people go into the back end of
[527]
ripple net and move all the numbers
[529]
around they're moved instantly and what
[532]
i mean by a a network of information
[534]
versus a network of value just to
[535]
explain i know broken down several times
[537]
a network of information means
[539]
information goes over
[541]
uh goes over a network
[543]
but then the money side of it has to be
[545]
handled later based on the information a
[548]
network of value
[550]
when you push the transaction
[552]
all the money is moving where it needs
[554]
to be instantly
[556]
there's no need to come in on the back
[558]
end
[559]
and so all i kept thinking when jack
[560]
mullers was talking was this is xrp this
[563]
is b2b this is bank debate these are
[565]
remittance portals these are uh inter
[568]
you know cross-border transactions
[571]
this
[572]
is the motivator this is what it is
[575]
it was a neon sign for xrp
[579]
it's evolution the evolution of
[581]
technology the evolution of technology
[583]
says
[584]
that eventually
[585]
we will probably be using the bitcoin
[588]
network it's just on the responsibility
[590]
of the retailers to provide that
[592]
motivation to their customers to use it
[596]
the xrp it's already built in we're
[598]
gonna see xrp adopted
[601]
before
[602]
bitcoin no question about it
[606]
you're talking about the adoption of one
[608]
industry the banking industry versus the
[610]
adoption of a vast number of industries
[613]
that span all of retail in the united
[615]
states it's absolutely insane so i was
[618]
super encouraged when i watched that
[619]
speech this weekend or this week and i
[621]
was just so glad that as i was watching
[623]
it
[624]
i was i was watching it already knowing
[626]
that like wow what an advertisement for
[629]
xrp for the xrp army if you're in the
[631]
xrp army make sure to throw the x up
[634]
make sure to hit that like button let
[636]
them know you're in the chat can't wait
[638]
to be back live in studio tomorrow
[641]
that's all i got people ask
