5 HIGH PAYING JOBS 馃挼 WITH LITTLE TO NO COLLEGE 馃帗 - YouTube

[0]
what's going on you guys I hope you're
[1]
having a fantastic day so I'm officially
[3]
moved into my new apartment here but I
[5]
was going to be doing my apartment tour
[7]
but I'm still waiting on my couch to get
[9]
here I decided to do a different video
[11]
today we're gonna be talking about the
[12]
best jobs you can get with little to no
[14]
schooling and first of all because it is
[17]
a Monday I want to announce the winner
[19]
of the weekly membership to stock radar
[21]
that is my stock analysis membership
[23]
site and this week's winner is Landon
[25]
McDowell and if you guys want to enter
[27]
that to remember every single Monday I
[28]
give away a lifetime membership to stock
[31]
radar and all the details on how to
[33]
enter are in the description below but
[35]
the idea for this video came from
[36]
something very simple and that was the
[39]
video I did recently talking about why I
[41]
quit my $70,000 job after learning about
[44]
passive income and I was very surprised
[46]
that a lot of people were commenting and
[48]
asking me how did I make seventy
[50]
thousand dollars a year at 22 years old
[52]
and to me this seems like a no-brainer
[54]
because I knew how to do this and it
[56]
really wasn't that hard but I think a
[58]
lot of people don't realize how much
[59]
money you can actually make depending on
[61]
what field you get into now I will say
[63]
this if you watch that video you know
[65]
that I quit that job because I hated it
[67]
and I hated my life and so I don't do
[69]
that anymore so don't think that you can
[71]
just make a lot of money and it's gonna
[73]
make you happy that's a complete fallacy
[74]
and don't fall into that trap of chasing
[77]
the money rather than chasing your
[79]
passion but that being said if you have
[81]
no clue what you want to do and you just
[83]
want to make some money to save up some
[84]
money to start a business or you're just
[87]
looking to have a good salary or a good
[89]
wage these are the five areas I would
[91]
recommend going into so my number one
[94]
recommendation to you is to get involved
[96]
with a trade now this could be something
[98]
like being an electrician this could be
[100]
carpentry this could be using your hands
[102]
and doing plumbing this could be being a
[105]
pipe fitter no matter what it is though
[107]
these trade jobs pay very well
[109]
especially if you are in a union and the
[111]
other beauty with this is that you can
[113]
start off as an apprentice and have
[115]
absolutely zero dollars of educational
[117]
costs so typically these apprentices are
[120]
five years I know I was looking at the
[122]
IBEW or International Brotherhood of
[125]
Electrical Workers I decided to get a
[127]
two year degree in electrical
[128]
construction but before I did that
[130]
I was considering entering the
[132]
electrical you
[133]
and if you do that you start off at
[135]
about $14 an hour and you don't have any
[138]
college at all that you're paying for
[139]
you just go to work and you oftentimes
[142]
are taking classes at night but they're
[144]
basically paying you to learn this trade
[146]
and five years down the road you could
[148]
have a wage of 40 dollars an hour or
[150]
more so I know the IBEW the electrical
[153]
union I was looking at topped out at
[155]
about $40 per hour and that's a salary
[158]
of just over 83,000 dollars per year
[160]
with absolutely zero College now we'll
[163]
take you about five years to get there
[164]
but the beauty of it is you're making
[166]
money in each of those years as an
[167]
apprentice and again like I said you
[169]
start off in about $14 per hour
[171]
and once you're making that $80,000 a
[174]
year you have absolutely zero dollars in
[175]
student loans and you can also transfer
[178]
to different unions if you're in an
[179]
actual electrical union who work
[181]
anywhere in the country if you wanted to
[183]
now the second route is actually what I
[185]
did and this is my educational
[186]
background so when I was in high school
[188]
I had no idea what I wanted to do with
[190]
my life I knew I enjoyed teaching people
[192]
but I had a bunch of people tell me that
[194]
you can't be a teacher you're not going
[195]
to make any money and unfortunately I
[197]
believed these people and I made the
[199]
decision to go off and get a degree in
[201]
electrical construction and this was
[203]
solely based on the fact that I took an
[205]
electronics class in high school and I
[206]
thought it was kind of interesting so
[208]
anyways I went to Community College I
[209]
got a degree in electrical construction
[211]
and maintenance and that degree cost me
[214]
about $12,000 now I did have my
[216]
grandfather helped me out with that so I
[218]
didn't have to pay for that college but
[220]
I had about a fifteen thousand dollar
[221]
limit as far as my college went anything
[224]
beyond that will be coming out of my
[225]
pocket
[226]
so I spent about $12,000 on that degree
[228]
it took me two years to get that
[230]
associate's degree and then a week
[232]
before I graduated I actually got a job
[235]
working for the local power utility now
[237]
I started off in the collections
[239]
department and so what I would do is I
[241]
would go door-to-door I would knock on
[243]
peoples door and I would shut off their
[244]
power if they wouldn't pay their bill
[246]
and it was a terrible job it was one of
[248]
the worst summers of my entire life but
[250]
anyways it led to me getting a full-time
[251]
position with that company but my
[254]
starting out wage there my hourly rate
[256]
as a collector was twenty-seven dollars
[257]
and 20 cents per hour and that ends up
[260]
being a salary of about 56,000 dollars
[262]
per year and do keep in mind that
[264]
working for a utility you do get a
[266]
the amount of overtime so I was a
[268]
collector for about eight months and
[270]
then in the fall that is when I got my
[273]
permanent job there as a planner so what
[275]
I would do is I would do the preliminary
[277]
design work for the overhead power line
[278]
construction a great job if you're into
[281]
math and engineering but it just wasn't
[283]
for me but that job paid me 3162 an hour
[286]
and that job topped out at $50 an hour
[289]
and it took you five years to get there
[291]
so I was making about sixty-five
[292]
thousand dollars per year at that job
[294]
starting out and within five years it
[296]
was a guaranteed payable over 100
[298]
thousand dollars if I stuck with that
[300]
progression but as I'm sure you guys
[302]
know that's not how that story panned
[303]
out I decided to start a YouTube channel
[306]
and go full-time with that but
[307]
nonetheless utility workers make a lot
[310]
of money especially if you're in a union
[311]
so the second route I would recommend
[314]
going is looking at some kind of utility
[315]
construction work number three on the
[317]
list here is one you probably have never
[319]
thought of before but it's air traffic
[320]
control these are very high stress jobs
[323]
but they pay a lot of money most people
[326]
working in air traffic control make over
[328]
a hundred twenty thousand dollars per
[329]
year and as far as the educational or
[332]
schooling goes for this there are
[334]
actually specific schools out there for
[336]
air traffic control so it's not like
[338]
you're going out there and getting a
[339]
formal degree of some kind you go to a
[341]
specific training school where you learn
[343]
air traffic control and they have ones
[345]
all over the country now is this a line
[347]
of work I would want to do absolutely
[349]
not I mean you are looking at the planes
[351]
in the air the planes that are landing
[353]
making sure that there are no possible
[355]
threats to our safety so it's a very
[357]
high-stress job but this is a very high
[359]
paying job that requires very little
[361]
schooling and not a lot of upfront
[363]
investment as far as education goes so
[366]
number four on my list here is radiation
[368]
therapy or being a radiation therapist
[370]
essentially helping people cancer
[372]
patients or other patients with
[374]
radiation treatments now this is a job
[377]
that you typically see people with a
[378]
bachelor's degree doing very well with
[380]
but you can actually get into this field
[382]
with an associate's degree and expect to
[385]
make somewhere around eighty thousand
[386]
dollars per year as a radiation
[388]
therapist and there are all kinds of
[390]
different schools in the country here
[392]
that teach you radiation therapy and
[393]
specific programs for that I know the
[395]
college I went to the Community College
[397]
had
[398]
program for both dental hygienists and
[400]
radiation technology and radiation
[403]
technicians and those were very
[405]
affordable programs at a community
[407]
college so we're talking about
[408]
potentially investing $15,000 maybe
[412]
20,000 at most in your education and
[414]
being able to come out making $80,000 a
[417]
year
[417]
that's not a bad investment right there
[419]
and then fifth and finally we have to
[421]
include being a registered nurse this is
[423]
a fantastic field to be getting into
[425]
anything related to health care just
[427]
because of the aging population more
[430]
people are living longer and so we need
[433]
more people working in healthcare and
[435]
registered nurses typically make about
[437]
$68,000 there's all kinds of associate's
[440]
degree programs all over the country
[442]
where you can get into an RN program and
[444]
you can also build upon that and excel
[446]
and make more money in that field and
[448]
nurses also get a ton of overtime and so
[451]
that's also a great field to get into
[453]
whether or not you're a man or a woman I
[455]
know traditionally it was a lot of women
[457]
in the nursing field but now it's pretty
[459]
much gender neutral and there wouldn't
[461]
be any issues with being a man in that
[462]
field making that kind of money so just
[464]
to wrap that up those would be my basic
[466]
recommendations here is look into the
[468]
trades look into health care those are
[471]
two very hot areas to get into that are
[473]
going to have steady demand as far as
[475]
your work and you also have potential to
[477]
work overtime and work more hours in
[479]
those jobs but again the number one
[481]
thing I have to stress here is don't do
[483]
something unless you think you're going
[484]
to enjoy it don't just do it for the
[486]
money now what I did is I worked my job
[489]
and I knew I didn't like it and so as a
[491]
result I lived as frugally as possible I
[493]
save as much money as possible that way
[495]
I could do something different down the
[496]
road and so I saved up over twenty
[499]
thousand dollars working at that job for
[501]
two years and then I made the decision
[503]
to take that leap of faith and pursue
[504]
entrepreneurship and I'm very happy that
[507]
I did that but I would just say make
[509]
sure that before you make a major
[510]
decision and get educational schooling
[513]
and spend money on some kind of degree
[515]
make sure you're going to at least enjoy
[517]
that line of work or have a plan down
[518]
the road but if you have no clue what
[520]
you want to do and you don't want to be
[522]
burdened with a ton of student debt in
[524]
student loans this is what I would
[525]
recommend doing anyways guys that's
[527]
gonna wrap up this video thank you so
[528]
much for watching keep in mind if you do
[530]
want to enter that we
[531]
to give away for stock radar all the
[533]
details are in the description below but
[535]
I thank you guys for watching and I hope
[537]
you have a great rest of your day if you
[539]
are interested in learning more about
[541]
investing in the stock market I've
[543]
created a free course just for you the
[546]

[550]
