Channel: Digital Perspectives
[1]
welcome back to the show everybody check
[2]
these headlines this morning will the
[4]
real satoshi nakamoto please stand up we
[8]
may find out exactly who that is we'll
[11]
get into it india and crypto regulations
[13]
bank of england deputy governor says
[16]
crypto is an imminent threat we're going
[18]
to explain what we believe that is gary
[21]
gensler won't approve a spot etf and i
[23]
believe we know why
[25]
ryan selkis from missouri thinks ripple
[28]
is guilty of fraud and the sec should
[31]
charge them well i have something for
[33]
him to take a look at and i'd love to
[36]
hear his thoughts on it
[37]
ripple net cloud and cross-border
[39]
payments it's coming everyone and i
[42]
think i'm going to show you evidence of
[43]
that today and the question is now
[46]
will an xrp breakout take us to a price
[50]
discovery mode we'll get into all of
[52]
that and more somebody roll that
[54]
beautiful intro
[56]
this is digital perspectives with brad

[66]
[Music]
[70]
welcome back to the show everybody you
[72]
can follow me on twitter at backup
[73]
bradley above and everything that we're
[75]
talking about here today got to give a
[76]
special shout out to pat and gordon my
[79]
dear friends are going to be moving to
[81]
kansas city and i wish them all the best
[83]
i know they all listened to the show i
[85]
had a great time hanging with them over
[87]
the weekend and i just wanted to
[89]
tell them i wish them well and we are
[92]
going to stay in touch believe it or not
[94]
and i i look forward to all the many
[96]
different hangs we get to have together
[98]
let's get into it this morning
[101]
2.620 trillion dollars and we are off by
[104]
8.84 on the cryptocurrency market this
[107]
morning
[108]
what happened everyone what happened
[112]
well i'm gonna give you my
[113]
uneducated macro view of what went on
[117]
a huge sell-off and when you look down
[119]
here it's pretty much the entire market
[122]
right it's it it is everything is down
[125]
which tells me bitcoin dominance still
[127]
controls the scene and there was a huge
[130]
sell-off we were below sixty thousand
[132]
dollars just a couple an hour or two ago
[133]
this morning now above sixty thousand
[136]
look
[137]
for me
[139]
what i'm seeing here is a huge sell-off
[141]
people taking profits
[143]
let us not forget as we move forward
[145]
here
[146]
bitcoin future etfs or you know they
[149]
exist now right and they're only getting
[151]
that market bigger so really what the
[154]
institutions have now is a level lever
[156]
for the up to buy right and which
[159]
they've always had and with the futures
[161]
now coming into play heavily they have a
[163]
lever to play the downside to so
[166]
big money moves to market and i see big
[168]
money taking profits here is what i see
[171]
looking right here we see xrp is at a
[173]
dollar nine right now we see that
[175]
obviously it was a huge bleed off off
[177]
more than nine percent this morning 106
[180]
four four the low side and 1289 on the
[183]
high side we get back to see if we can
[186]
climb again right and and the reality is
[188]
i don't follow price like this after i
[192]
you know do the channel and the numbers
[194]
for people who are listening in the car
[195]
and want to hear the prices i don't
[198]
really follow the prices unless
[200]
something is taking place that day
[203]
i just don't i'm more worried about the
[205]
fundamental news which we cover heavily
[207]
here and here's some fundamental news
[209]
right here trade shift a recent product
[211]
added to link to link2.com private
[214]
invested made simple is recently sold
[217]
out now i don't know if they're going to
[218]
be re-upping that but i did want to tell
[220]
you i did take a look at the site and
[222]
saw that there's less than a thousand
[224]
shares of ripple left and i don't know
[225]
if they're replenishing or not so we
[228]
better hope they do because i know a lot
[229]
of people buy it up quickly and uphold
[231]
has shares but i also saw a couple other
[234]
things that have sold out linked to
[236]
shares i hope they put more up at that
[237]
as well but nevertheless ladies and
[239]
gentlemen it is the place for private
[241]
equity make sure you check it out this
[244]
stuff does not last long
[246]
take a look right here this is more
[247]
great information ladies and gentlemen
[249]
but you got to click the link i got it
[251]
in the description in the comment box
[253]
look at this
[254]
woohoo is finally here no more monthly
[257]

[260]

[262]

[264]
they continue to carry the belt it is
[267]
absolutely true and if you click the
[269]
link either here on my twitter or in the
[271]
description comment box you'll get a
[273]
hundred dollars worth of bitcoin for
[274]
signing up and no monthly fees come on
[277]
in that's what i'm talking about yeah
[279]
shout out to blake and blake skyrim and
[281]
the whole crew there
[282]
bitcoin creator satoshi nakamoto or
[285]
he says he is
[288]
could finally be unmasked at the 64
[291]
billion dollar crypto trial in florida
[293]
david clyman's family which is on the
[295]
right-handed picture there has sued
[297]
australian programmer craig wright on
[299]
the left for the control of their
[301]
deceased relatives alleged share of
[303]
nakamoto's assets
[305]
craig wright has said and he told us
[307]
when we were shooting the movie
[308]
kryptonairs that he was
[311]
satoshi nakamoto well i'm i want to see
[314]
this actually play out and really find
[317]
out here
[318]
i don't understand
[320]
if you are the real satoshi nakamoto no
[322]
matter who you are and i know david
[324]
kliman has passed away but his family is
[326]
looking to uh uh
[328]
solve and resolve this issue for their
[330]
self and their family
[332]
uh but you could simply if you have the
[334]
keys you could open the wallet and just
[336]
show people well i'm the only one with
[337]
the keys to what satoshi nakamoto's
[339]
wallet has in it and then that would
[341]
solve it right so i it just seems a
[344]
little
[344]
this whole thing seems a little strange
[346]
right
[347]
looking right here this is something
[348]
that has been strange more like a bad
[350]
tennis match but this is india
[352]
parliament meeting on crypto and what
[354]
they have said is that there is a
[356]
consensus that was reached that
[358]
cryptocurrency should be regulated in
[360]
the country and that a blanket ban is
[363]
off the table can i add finally because
[368]
is it finally because i mean they've
[369]
been back and forth on this worse than
[371]
the united states even but somehow
[374]
they're still ahead of us in getting it
[375]
done it appears looking right here um
[378]
this is a big statement but i think we
[380]
can part the water here
[382]
crypto poses imminent threat to
[384]
financial stability bank of england
[386]
deputy governor it says crypto poses the
[389]
imminent threat to financial stability
[391]
it goes on to talk about you know all of
[393]
this stuff and how it could threaten but
[394]
look what where i want to park the water
[397]
here is is is right here this is where
[400]
you get the demand and the pressure and
[403]
the incentive
[405]
to release a central bank digital
[407]
currency
[408]
that's where i believe the language is
[410]
coming from here
[412]
cryptos in it of themselves
[414]
are a problem because we don't have the
[417]
cbdc on and off ramp to track
[420]
what's being bought and by whom
[424]
don't like it don't believe it it's
[426]
still true that's the ultimate end goal
[428]
right i mean
[430]
look i you know jim rickards i believe
[432]
has commented on this raul powell has
[434]
commented on this and many other really
[436]
smart people about
[438]
economics and
[440]
new technology and things of that nature
[442]
and they all come to the same place that
[444]
essentially banks are going to have to
[446]
be a node on these protocols these
[449]
payment protocols you know and i really
[451]
do agree with uh brian brooks and the
[453]
interview we showed here a few days ago
[455]
you know
[457]
the word cryptocurrencies in it of
[459]
themselves is is confusing to people the
[462]
nomenclature of that is really
[464]
bad for crypto they should be called
[466]
like payment networks just that's it
[468]
just their new payment protocols their
[470]
new payment networks and that if you
[472]
just start seeing them that way then i
[474]
think you really start to sort out what
[476]
has a use case and what doesn't now
[478]
here's a guy who's been trying to sort
[480]
out crypto and not many of us have been
[483]
happy about it but
[485]
not with his approach at least uh
[486]
gensler has made it clear earlier that
[488]
regulatory body thinks that the crypto
[490]
market is not mature enough to handle a
[493]
spot etf
[495]
you know like i said we had the futures
[496]
etfs that keep getting approved now it
[498]
seems the sec would rather approve an
[501]
ether futures etf than a spot bitcoin
[504]
one well
[505]
i believe
[506]
and i point to
[508]
uh remarks that gary gensler has made in
[510]
the past
[511]
what do we know about his his immediate
[513]
approach he's going after the exchanges
[517]
right
[518]
he wants to get the exchanges tucked
[519]
into the sec securities framework
[523]
don't
[524]
you don't have to like it but that's
[525]
what he's on that's what he's on the
[527]
path to do right
[529]
so for me when i think about this until
[532]
we get
[533]
or until he gets
[535]
the
[536]
exchanges tucked into that regulatory
[539]
framework
[540]
he's not going to uh approve a spa etf
[543]
for bitcoin or anything else
[545]
that's just my uh speculation about his
[548]
thoughts and his approach
[551]
but once they have that in that tucked
[553]
in that framework i think you will see
[555]
that take place the problem with gary
[558]
genser is though if he manages to get
[561]
the exchanges tucked into just like
[563]
nasdaq or the nyse
[565]
will he go
[567]
even further and say well because the
[569]
exchanges are now under the framework of
[572]
the security exchange commission that
[573]
also means that everything on there
[575]
should be regulated by us too and that's
[577]
what concerns me about him most right it
[580]
really does all right take a look at
[582]
this uh really really damning comments
[585]
here coming from ryan selkis from asari
[588]
here ripple guilty of fraud he says but
[591]
not securities laws violations missouri
[594]
selkisses and if you look at this says
[597]
rebel labs have been fighting the case
[598]
he said they misled this is what he says
[600]
they misled xrp holders over inside
[603]
token selling selectively disclosed data
[606]
and height partnerships as value
[607]
additive to the underlying currency
[611]
selcus also argued that the sec chief
[614]
gary gensler been supportive of
[615]
commissioner purse's safe harbor
[617]
proposal ripple's allegedly fraudulent
[619]
activities could have been fixed instead
[621]
sec is fighting technical securities
[623]
violations while ignoring the safe
[625]
harbor which would prevent fraud well
[627]
here's a problem with that gary genser
[628]
has admitted that he hasn't even looked
[630]
at what the safe harbor proposal is for
[632]
master purse and that's reinforced here
[634]
by john deaton down below
[636]
uh this is what i shared with uh ryan
[640]
selkis who appears to
[642]
have some kind of clarity over the
[643]
situation i said ryan selkis who goes by
[646]
two-bit idiot which is starting to real
[648]
really really line with the comments
[650]
he's making here i've read that you
[652]
think ripple is guilty of fraud i'm
[654]
curious how you would define these
[656]
actions for fundraising at fifteen one
[658]
thirteen obfuscating uh us regs and laws
[661]
by disguising your identities so you can
[663]
invest under fake names in multiple
[665]
accounts just want a level playing field
[667]
that's all we're after here right that's
[669]
all we're after and you know if you
[672]
haven't heard it it's only a few seconds
[673]
take a listen right here
[676]
we got it keyed up
[681]
[Music]
[687]
a conference um the
[688]
sale is
[689]
is on um so we don't want to do two
[692]
major things at the same time
[694]
okay so
[697]
either before or after
[699]
okay
[700]
mike
[713]
will there be a limit on the amount that
[715]
the person could invest in ethereum
[720]
a person
[721]
can
[723]
can buy
[725]
from any number of different identities
[728]
we may limit the size that the unit size
[732]
of the sail
[734]
just to
[735]
make it easier to disguise
[739]
let's say if you're a whale and you want
[741]
some privacy
[743]
you can buy
[744]
um 50 000 units and just uh
[748]
um
[749]
so
[750]
nobody scares people with uh
[752]
enormous initial purchase
[756]
so if you are a rail if you want you're
[759]
planning on investing
[760]
several million us dollars worth
[764]
then you can do that in
[767]
multiple identities
[769]
with multiple identities it goes on to
[771]
talk about with pseudo-anonymous names
[774]
listen you know you're fundraising
[777]
you're touching american investors and
[779]
you're explaining to them how you can
[780]
disguise your identity and use multiple
[783]
accounts with soon anonymous names
[787]
uh ryan stellicus i'm just curious where
[789]
you're at on this with your high-powered
[791]
perception that you have these days
[793]
ripple net cloud is improving
[795]
cross-border payments in a key
[796]
remittance corridor connecting money
[798]
match app and al ansari exchange to
[801]
redefine the customer experience with
[803]
same day payments to malaysia look i
[806]
mean
[807]
we kind of covered and touched on this
[809]
this is showing you that ripple is not
[813]
distracted to the ultimate end goal of
[817]
what the company is it's it's an
[819]
enterprise blockchain solution company
[822]
right period that's what they do and the
[824]
xrp ledger is a decentralized exchange
[827]
for all the value of all the world
[830]
period separate non-profit foundation
[833]
right the whole bit so they keep
[836]
pressing forward here and then there's a
[838]
reminder of this the ripple liquidity
[841]
hub which is ashish berla told us right
[844]
we know what what do we know about it
[845]
i'll tell you what we know about it we
[847]
know that it sits on the on top of
[850]
something like coinbase right and
[853]
exchanges and banks right and it becomes
[856]
an aggregator right a curator of
[859]
real-time price
[861]
it would almost appear that if you look
[863]
at it that way because they're trying to
[865]
get you know a price aggregation for the
[868]
big clients institution banks exchanges
[870]
and all of them
[871]
and coin me in fact is going to be
[874]
using ripple liquidity hub right
[877]
and by the way coin me is a partner with
[880]
coin star all the little extra you know
[882]
coin exchange in the dollar bills in all
[884]
the grocery stores that you see and you
[886]
can go in there and you can buy bitcoin
[890]
on the coin me uh atms and the coin star
[893]
machines which is impressive in itself
[895]
but they're going to be using this
[896]
ripple liquidity hub to get this
[898]
aggregation and that is very exciting
[900]
you guys should be checking out coinme
[902]
and they also have a uh a website and
[905]
let me pull that for you really quickly
[907]
so you can see this
[908]
right here
[910]
cryptoliteracy.org this is it and
[912]
anybody that you're a do you have a
[914]
family member or maybe you've been in a
[915]
space and you don't really have all your
[918]
gap feels on what is the difference
[920]
between this crypto that crypto you can
[922]
go to crypto literacy cryptoliteracy.org
[926]
and take this little like quiz kind of
[928]
challenge thing and it helps educate you
[931]
on what's going on in the space and the
[933]
difference between different
[934]
technologies and things of that nature
[935]
it's very very cool so make sure you
[937]
check that out as well all right so now
[939]
getting back to this and hearing the
[941]
fraud hope he answers the question to
[943]
that ripple is moving forward the ripple
[946]
liquidity hub i believe is absolutely
[948]
bigger than we even know and what it can
[951]
serve and think about if it can sit on
[952]
something and aggregate costs for
[954]
someone like coinbase
[956]
doesn't this almost fall in with the
[958]
backdoor plan of what gary gensler wants
[960]
to do he wants to reign in the exchanges
[963]
possibly use something like ripple
[965]
liquidity hub to source the accurate
[967]
price discovery for maybe all the u.s
[970]
exchanges i'm speculating a bit here but
[973]
it does seem like it lines up we'll see
[975]
how this all ends up here one thing i do
[977]
know is is that real progress is not
[979]
measured by when the second hand of the
[981]
clock moves but when the hour hand moves
[984]
and i believe we just saw the hour hand
[987]
move what i'm talking about here is a
[989]
repos from
[990]
david schwartz here and there was much
[993]
rejoicing and he's talking about the
[995]
announcement that we talked here about
[996]
about the zoom wallet really getting
[999]
successfully registered and approval
[1001]
from the dutch central bank
[1003]
that means they are in line with
[1005]
regulations relating to cryptocurrency
[1008]
to fiat currency trading
[1011]
now full disclosure
[1013]
it's only available to dutch citizens at
[1015]
this point
[1017]
but i believe we just saw the hour hand
[1019]
move
[1020]
because it's a central bank it's the
[1022]
dutch central bank and what we're really
[1024]
seeing is is the bridge through the
[1026]
dutch central bank from cryptocurrency
[1028]
to fiat trading and because it's the
[1031]
zoom wallet i can only imagine that it
[1034]
would help build out the use potentially
[1037]
at some point
[1038]
of the ripple liquidity hub
[1041]
don't you think pretty timely that they
[1043]
both come out right at the same time or
[1045]
damn near it now let's take on this
[1047]
question here because we know that the
[1049]
market's getting beat up today yeah all
[1051]
of our portfolios it's like don't even
[1053]
open it don't even look at it right
[1055]
crypto analyst altcoin sherpa predicts
[1058]
xrp will break out of accumulation
[1060]
and enter into a price discovery mode
[1063]
well listen we're all waiting for a
[1065]
price discovery mode but i tend to think
[1068]
that we've got to have a little more
[1070]
going on in order for that to happen
[1072]
which means i believe the case has to
[1074]
end we got to have some kind of clarity
[1076]
which may really involve
[1078]
legislation from congress hopefully
[1080]
sooner rather than later and and i know
[1083]
that that's a big wish right but i do
[1085]
believe at some point we're going to get
[1086]
that i really do i'm glass half full so
[1089]
as far as price discovery mode goes i'm
[1092]
excited for it
[1093]
but i also feel like for price discovery
[1095]
mode to really happen we have to have
[1097]
the clarity case has got to be settled
[1099]
but we also have to have a very another
[1101]
very important key part here which is
[1105]
utility
[1106]
use case utility
[1109]
we need to see use case utility driving
[1112]
price more than the speculative buying
[1115]
of the asset itself which is what we're
[1117]
seeing up until now
[1118]
that's going to do it for me make sure
[1120]
you hit the like and subscribe before i
[1121]
get out of here i do want to tell you
[1122]
give us a follow on tick tock ladies and
[1124]
gentlemen digital perspectives no spaces
[1127]
all lowercase just give us a follow on
[1129]
