people what does this mean for the people who聽聽

work there casey crowther told me over the phone聽
every one of his 200 plus employees is good they聽聽

have families and their jobs are secure same thing聽
for his customers and would-be customers don't聽聽

worry big promises for a man who faces 30, 50 and聽
if he gets the max more than 100 years in prison聽聽

the jury has spoken casey crowther owner of target聽
roofing and sheet metal is guilty as charged

now his customers have questions you know casey聽
crowther is the owner but what's going to happen聽聽

to all the little people jim rider told me target聽
roofing did the roof on his condo is the warranty聽聽

good if crowther goes to prison concerned that聽
you know if something does happen to our roofs聽聽

we're going to have to pay up again and a lot of聽
people here cannot afford it so i called crowther聽聽

and he agreed to answer questions but not about聽
his criminal case he told me his customers have聽聽

nothing to worry about they're in great shape聽
he said it's a large company that trial was for聽聽

one person and that was me and not them they'll聽
be in good shape and in good hands crowther told聽聽

us target roofing will operate as usual and the聽
company will stay in his name even if he's in聽聽

jail he can own a company and it can operate聽
so any warranty or guarantee in the contract聽聽

that's signed by target roofing is still active聽
as long as the company is and crowther told me聽聽

his workers will be good too crowther said for me聽
the employees are the important part as they were聽聽

before and as they are now i can't just give up on聽
200 families that's just not fair crowther told me聽聽

his customers should trust target roofing because聽
of his employees if you are a customer the lawyers聽聽

in my story say you should review your contracts聽
and if you have any issues get them taken care of聽聽

now crowther goes before a judge for sentencing at聽
the end of june chris we wanted to let everyone聽聽

know that target roofing did receive approximately聽
two million dollars in ppp program funds聽聽

once it received those funds those funds were聽
utilized to actually employ 50 members of the聽聽

workforce 5-0 and target roofing expended 3.5聽
million dollars in payroll alone during the聽聽

relevant time period it's 1.5 million dollars more聽
than the funds that they received those pp funds聽聽

ppp funds were used and utilized for exactly what聽
congress intended to be used for target roofing聽聽

was able to actually hire back employees that聽
they had either laid off or furloughed during聽聽

the february march time period when COVID-19聽
started they were able to maintain those employees聽聽

during a global pandemic and more importantly聽
they were able to pay those ways all of those聽聽

workers got paid with assistance from the ppp聽
program but also assistance from target roofing

target roofing intends to continue to serve聽
the community in south uh southwest florida聽聽

they appreciate their customers they聽
appreciate the support they've received聽聽

and most of all they appreciate their聽
team of workers they hope to continue聽聽

to create jobs for this community because聽
that's exactly what this pp program was for聽聽

to maintain jobs to create jobs and let's keep the聽
people of fort myers and the lee county area paid聽聽

it's unfortunate and we're disappointed that the聽
government decided even with this information聽聽

to continue towards indictment but we plan聽
on aggressively defending the allegations聽聽

and both mr crowther and myself聽
look forward to our day in court

that's all that's all we have i i can't tell you聽
what the federal government is thinking but from聽聽

our perspective we're going to keep making聽
creating jobs we're going to keep employing聽聽
