Michael Flynn鈥檚 attorney slams FBI, FISA judges for abuse of power - YouTube
Channel: Fox Business
[0]
this the DOJ watchdog report remember we
[3]
are digging into the footnotes show that
[5]
an FBI agent used a routine intelligence
[8]
briefing in August of 2016 to spy on
[12]
them candidate Trump and then campaign
[15]
adviser Michael Flynn for the Russia
[17]
probe Michael Flynn he's awaiting
[19]
sentencing after pleading guilty to
[21]
making false statements to the FBI he's
[23]
still fighting his case let's welcome to
[26]
the show Michael Flynn's attorney former
[27]
US prosecutor Sydney Powell thanks for
[30]
joining us Sydney Thank You Liz is there
[33]
any indication that the u.s. prosecutor
[35]
John Durham is now probing criminal
[37]
charges for what happened with your
[39]
client not necessarily but it would be
[43]
hard for him to look very deeply into
[45]
the entire Russia collusion mess and how
[48]
it was all put together without coming
[51]
across things that are going to be
[52]
helpful to general Flynn I mean we know
[55]
that there was CIA involvement
[57]
I think mr. Durham has mr. Mifsud
[59]
telephones and mr. Mifsud was a Western
[62]
intelligence asset as best we can tell
[65]
there may be information there that's
[66]
helpful and we know from the inspector
[68]
general's report that a number of
[70]
stunning things went on that we had no
[72]
idea had happened did any FBI official
[76]
ever a prize Michael Flynn of his
[79]
Miranda rights prior to this 2016
[81]
briefing that your client attended with
[84]
then attended with in Canada Trump
[86]
because Senator John Cornyn says it's
[88]
dangerous for federal cops to not say
[91]
and to basically not tell the people
[94]
they're talking to that anything they
[96]
say could be used against them in an
[98]
investigation potentially involving
[100]
criminal charges did he get his Miranda
[102]
rights of course not that didn't happen
[105]
either time he was interviewed then or
[107]
in the White House and of course the
[109]
original interview was completely
[111]
surreptitious no one knew that an FBI
[113]
agent was there to collect information
[116]
against President Trump or general Flynn
[118]
and everyone was appalled when they just
[121]
learned it to the point that director
[123]
ray has said that will never happen
[124]
again that's an outrageous abuse of FBI
[127]
power
[128]
well it's unconstitutional we've
[131]
reported the DOJ watchdog fan
[133]
the Obama administration did know about
[136]
the FBI's Trump Russia probe in 2016
[138]
we're still digging into this story in
[140]
the next segment the Obama
[142]
administration twice decided not to give
[144]
the heads-up to the president's campaign
[146]
about the Russian interference probe now
[149]
during his testimony something came out
[152]
that we have not seen before the IG
[154]
Horowitz could not rule out political
[158]
bias in the page investigation and the
[161]
prompting of it watch this
[162]
was it your conclusion that there was
[165]
that political bias I did not affect any
[168]
part of the the page investigation any
[170]
part of crossfire hurricanes that would
[171]
United regions I could have sworn in
[174]
fact I know for a fact that I've heard
[175]
that today from this committee but
[176]
that's that's not your conclusion we've
[178]
we have been very careful with in
[180]
connection with the Pfizer's for the
[182]
reasons you mentioned to to not reach
[185]
that conclusion okay so what he's saying
[189]
is that there the the congressman there
[192]
there's so many errors repeated
[193]
decisions to mislead lied to the FISA
[195]
Court trying to find out what the
[197]
motivation was for all of those problems
[199]
it's not just incompetency it seems it
[202]
seems like a political agenda so
[204]
Horowitz is not ruling that out now he's
[207]
definitely not ruling that out and
[209]
anyone looking at all the evidence can
[212]
certainly draw their own conclusions
[214]
about how and why all of this happened I
[217]
imagine mr. Durham and attorney general
[219]
bar will get additional evidence that's
[221]
even more damning than what we've seen
[223]
so far
[224]
okay Michael Horowitz the IG said he was
[226]
so alarmed that he fears that are there
[228]
are systemic problems with the FBI finds
[230]
the process he has launched a broader
[232]
review of FBI's use of the FISA Court do
[236]
you see this as a systemic problem
[238]
because we have Republican Devon Nunez
[240]
saying that twice last year he told the
[243]
FISA Court about these FBI problems and
[245]
nothing happened your response to all of
[247]
that it's a very serious problem the
[251]
FISA judges have been rubber stamping
[253]
anything the FBI has put in front of
[256]
them there was no probable cause or
[257]
cited in the steel dossier or FISA
[261]
application for Carter page to the
[263]
extent we've seen it unredacted there
[265]
isn't a single first-hand alig
[267]
of any wrongdoing that would have flown
[269]
in any search warrant I've done in the
[271]
hundreds of done in my career it's
[274]
absolutely appalling and I would
[275]
encourage the FISA Court to stand up now
[278]
and do something meaningful to stop this
[281]
kind of conduct and enforce their own
[283]
standards like hold the people in
[285]
contempt bar them from practicing in
[288]
front of the court expose their names to
[290]
everyone and what would be really good
[292]
would be if they would invalidate the
[294]
search warrants they can go back and
[296]
declare those FISA warrants absolutely
[300]
unacceptable and invalid
[302]
so you're saying throw the book at them
[305]
exactly so this has been going on
[308]
according to rosemary Colliers decision
[310]
for several years it's a
[313]
unconstitutional issue we're talking
[314]
about Sidney Powell come back soon love
[317]
having you on former federal prosecutor
[318]
Sidney Powell Michael Flynn's attorney
[320]
great to see you Thank You Liz
