Let's talk about MEGA cities!

If you've been  

following earth 2 over the last couple of weeks  you'll see more and more mega cities popping up  

all over the globe in lots of different locations  from lots of different founders and we're seeing  

a new discord channel or a new facebook group  popping up see what it seems like every single  

day so today i'm going to run through my top  five mega cities that i think have got potential  

or that are quite fun and interesting so let's  kick off with the first mega city and these are  

going from five down to one coming in at number  five in my list we've got what's called robot city  

which is based in malawi so the the city itself  isn't huge it's certainly not the biggest mega  

city that i've seen out there i think it was one  of the earlier ones that came through it kicked  

off with some quite interesting shapes some cool  pictures were coming through but it hasn't grown  

tremendously in the last couple of weeks so where  the the stats are at the moment it's about 133  

000 tiles sold within the country which  makes it class 2 for any new purchases  

and the current price is sitting at 38 cents per  tile so it may have potential i'll be honest the  

infrastructure on this one isn't that impressive  and i think that's one of the key things that  

we should be looking for but it was quite a  fun city so i've included that as number five  

number four on my list is going to be the sahara  eye based in western sahara so this is a really  

cool project and this one was again really popular  over the last couple of weeks there's obviously  

an an eye in sahara which can be seen as far as  space and people have been buying out the various  

different rings of that eye and the city's been  getting bigger and bigger and expanding over time  

so again infrastructure not that impressive  for a city i think it's quite spread out  

it's quite dotty there isn't any clear roads or  anyone that's really sort of taking charge and  

taking the lead with it but there's no doubt  the growth has absolutely been there and we've  

seen western sahara uh in the top five of sales  multiple times over the last week or so so i think  

there's definitely interest the numbers for this  one currently sits at 170 000 tiles sold so again  

new purchases are in class 2 and a tile is going  to cost you 55 cents per tile number three in my  

list wasn't one that i was familiar with until i  started to do a little bit of research for this  

video but looking at the city and again looking at  the way that it's been laid out the infrastructure  

and the people behind it i think it's got real  potential so this is being called shp's city  

and this is based in nepal so if we have a look  around here you can see from the map that there's  

a real grid-like structure someone has taken  the time to start to build our infrastructure  

think about how where may the roads be placed then  people are coming along and filling in the gaps so  

we're looking at i think it was about 216 000  tiles sold which for nepal i think is really good  

over 200 000 tiles sold now uh still class two  and it's going to cost you 87 cents per tile so  

definitely one to watch seems like maybe a little  bit more organized than some of the other two  

number two in my list is probably the one that  i'm most excited about and this is the one  

that i've been buying into so this is based in  central african republic and it's called resion  

so it's again lots of interesting people getting  involved some real money going in but the great  

thing i love about this one is the organization  someone's really thought about how we're going  

to expand the city they've got the guy's got a  twitter account which has got over 4 000 followers  

and he's getting a lot of interest and a lot of  investment coming in so i've picked up some tiles  

in this one and i think this is really really  one to watch especially as we've seen the central  

african public coming back into that top five  tiles sold for the day so we're sitting at 162  

000 tiles sold at the moment and the tile's  gonna cost you just 50 cents right now so  

for me this is a hot buy i think this city has got  so much potential so much growth it's big enough  

to be able to allow enough people to come in uh  and i've started to see more and more land income  

taxes coming through as that growth has been  coming so this is my hot tip this is number two  

in my city list and finally coming to the top  spot for the most popular mega cities of course it  

has to be liberia uh driven by e2 the boss who i  believe is currently number two on the leaderboard  

and this is a great city they've got so many  interesting elements to it so many people backing  

it and the title sales have been huge over the  last couple of weeks so we currently sat at 271  

000 tiles so this is the most tiled sole most  tiles sold of i think all the cities now obviously  

all those aren't in that one city but as a country  271 000 still class 2 available but it's now going  

to cost you a dollar 50 to buy a tile so that  has really scaled back the growth and i think  

this is one of the issues that liberia is going  to run into it it's just getting too expensive  

to start growing tiles especially if you want to  buy those bigger plots of maybe 100 200 300 tiles  

at 1.50 a tile it really starts to add up compared  to somewhere like the central african republic  

and resions which is only 50 cents a tile i  think that's why we'll see the resion grow  

significantly over the next week or so but  take nothing away from liberia and the work  

that e2 has been doing it's a great city the  infrastructure is solid we've got roads we've  

got islands we've got the palms i think we've  got the monopoly man kicking around somewhere  

over here so people have got really behind  this project and have really invested in it so  

i think it's it deserves its place at number one  but what i would say is look out i think there's  

going to be a new contender i think it's going to  be Rezion on but let's see what happens so that's  

my top five that's what i'll be uh investing in  over the coming weeks i've put links to each of
