So I'm here at Metamask website, that's metamask.io. And now

I plan to trade cryptocurrency

to token so I can use it. Let's say I want to play an online game which

is blockchain-enabled one. And to do that, I need to create a Metamask

account or I need to have a Metamask wallet. So it says here is thru

Metamask, we can access blockchain-based applications in the

simplest and most secured way. So in the succeeding videos, we will show you

how we use Metamask wallet. So this time, we will open our Metamask

wallet. And this Metamask is a crypto wallet and gateway to

blockchain apps that are also listed here are the other examples. Here's

Axie Infinity, it's popular now and many more aside from this. And there's a better

explanation about Metamask, it's on their page, that's metamask.io

So let's proceed and click on download and Supported Browsers:

Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge.

The others are not here yet. For Mac users, it's better to use Safari first

because Chrome is not yet supported for that web or you can use

the App version. You can download it from the App Store or Play Store.

And I click install.

And I click add to Chrome.

And I click this add extension.

And currently it's downloading

file here, so let's just wait. And automatically after completely

downloading the file, I was redirected here. So Connecting you to Etherium and

Decentralized Web. So let's click Get Started. And are we new to Metamask?

If you are new to Metamask, yes let's

set it up, but if you have a Metamask

before, you have to choose this, just import the wallet. So proceed

let's create a wallet.

And I click on I agree so we can proceed. This time we need to

provide a minimum of 8 characters for our password. I click this

I have read and agree to the terms of use.

Here are their terms of service, you can double-check it further but for me,

I click on Create. There is a video here that teaches us or tells us

that the recovery phrase is important.

So let's say you forgot the recovery phrase, you didn't save it anywhere,

even the Metamask team, they will not be able to retrieve the recovery phrase that will be provided here on

account setup. So if someone is telling you or pretending

they are from Metamask and they

ask for your recovery phrase, it's a scam right away, because no one from the Metamask

team will ask for the recovery phrase if they are really from Metamask.

So it says, "save the password".

We can write it down, we can really secure if there is a safe-deposit box or

something else as long as we know whether we forget or we need to

access or retrieve our account.

The way to do that is by providing the recovery phrase that only us should

know. No one should know this, because our recovery phrase,

This is our "master key" in our wallet and funds here at Metamask. Never, ever share

your recovery phrase even with Metamask!

as reminded here. They're scammer in case anyone asks

your recovery phrase. So I click next. Here is the part of the recovery phrase.

So I click the next button so

we can proceed. And Confirm your Secret Backup Phrase. So the one

we saw earlier or what we memorized

we'll put it here too. So I'll do that and after, click

confirm. So this is the confirmation, Congratulations and here's the

tips to store our phrase securely. And if we want

to have a back up on Secret Recovery

Phrase, we can access it or we can see it in the settings & security section.

And again, Metamask cannot recover your Secret Recovery Phrase. So if we forgot that

no one can help us but ourselves.

So I click this All Done. And every time

you sign-up, by the time you do it on your own, possible there are

the account1. So I want to rename it. This is our private key, we can

export it too. So I checked it and I closed it. So we renamed

our account name here. We can

add a token, we'll do that in the next videos. So I also click on it and we can

add an additional account. So when we click it, here's

what will appear, Account 2 and then click

create. But for me, I will not create a new account first.

And click it again, click settings. Currently the currency settings here

is in US dollars. Primary Currency, meaning, the values

I can see here is in a form of ETH,

how much is its equivalent in ETH. For me, I will replace it with Fiat so that the

conversion or the value I can see is in the form of US dollars. And aside from this

we can use.., for let's say we want to connect to networks,

we can set it up here or we can add network here. So let's explore

that in the succeeding videos. For now, we're ok with Metamask, we've created
