Hello traders! In this video, we鈥檒l take a look聽 at Apple, the world鈥檚 largest company by value,聽聽
[7]
and what we can expect for the stock of Apple聽 in the future. Before we get into the video,聽聽
[14]
make sure to like and subscribe, so you can聽 always be up to date and ready to trade.聽聽
[21]
Let鈥檚 begin by examining the strengths and聽 weaknesses of Apple. Apple is one of the聽聽
[27]
world鈥檚 strongest brands. In fact, it鈥檚 the聽 most valuable brand by market capitalization,聽聽
[34]
currently worth $2.648 trillion. Only Microsoft聽 joins Apple in the trillion-dollar club.聽聽
[43]
Apple is capable of introducing聽 profitable new products,聽聽
[48]
thanks to its reputable and admired brand.聽 From these products, Apple typically generates聽聽
[56]
high profit margins with its premium pricing聽 strategy, even in the event of limited sales.聽聽
[63]
Apple鈥檚 adoption of intense competitive and growth聽 strategies involves effective rapid innovation.聽聽
[71]
This allows the tech giant to utilize latest聽 technologies to gain competitive advantage.聽聽
[79]
On to the weaknesses, the product and service聽 pricing of Apple鈥檚 offerings is considered high,聽聽
[86]
with competitors offering sophisticated products聽 at less cost. This sways consumers away from聽聽
[93]
Apple, but the company has its army of loyal聽 consumers, so this shouldn鈥檛 be too big of an聽聽
[100]
issue. Another weakness is Apple鈥檚 distribution聽 network for its goods, which is quite limited.聽聽
[108]
This is because of its policy of exclusivity.聽 It selects authorized resellers, rather than聽聽
[116]
allowing any retailer to sell its products.聽 Lastly, because of its premium pricing strategy,聽聽
[124]
Apple has the weakness of sales聽 dependence on high-end market segments.聽聽
[130]
High prices attract customers from聽 the middle and high-income brackets,聽聽
[136]
preventing customers from low-income brackets from聽 easily purchasing Apple鈥檚 consumer electronics.聽聽
[144]
This internal strategic factor imposes a聽 weakness on Apple as high-end segments represent聽聽
[152]
only a minority of the global market.聽 Now, let鈥檚 briefly see how Apple performed聽聽
[159]
in each quarter this year. In the first quarter,聽 its earnings per share and revenue figures聽聽
[166]
surpassed analyst expectations. The success聽 can be attributed to booming iPhone 12 sales,聽聽
[173]
which were up 17% year-over-year to generate an聽 impressive $65.6 billion in a single quarter.聽聽
[185]
Research firm IDC predicts that Apple shipped more聽 phones during the first quarter than any other聽聽
[192]
smartphone maker has ever done in one quarter. In聽 the second quarter, Apple beat analyst forecasts聽聽
[200]
once again, both in earnings per share and revenue聽 generated. Its iPhones were the hero once more,聽聽
[208]
generating $47.94 billion in the quarter,聽 which was up 65.5% year-over-year. Notably,聽聽
[219]
Apple鈥檚 quarter results have also been lifted聽 by its iPad sales, generating $7.8 billion聽聽
[227]
against the $5.58 billion predicted by analysts,聽 up 79% year-over-year. In the penultimate quarter,聽聽
[239]
the company carried on delivering exceptional聽 results. The company鈥檚 EPS was $1.3 against the聽聽
[247]
$1.01 expected, which is around 30% more.聽 Revenue was also greater than expected.聽聽
[255]
The reason for the success is not only because聽 of booming iPhone sales but every one of Apple鈥檚聽聽
[261]
major product lines, such as the Mac, Apple聽 Watch and iPad grew over 12% on an annual basis.聽聽
[271]
Now, in the fourth quarter,聽 things took a darker turn.聽聽
[276]
The company fell short of revenue expectations,聽 despite its total revenue increasing 29% on an聽聽
[284]
annual basis. The company rolled out new MacBook聽 Pros, third generation AirPods and a cheaper聽聽
[292]
version of Apple Music which is only controlled聽 by Siri, the voice assistant of Apple鈥檚 products.聽聽
[301]
But, that was not enough as CEO Tim Cook claimed聽 that global supply shortages in silicon and聽聽
[310]
COVID-19 related manufacturing issues in Asia,聽 weighed the company down, disallowing Apple to聽聽
[317]
achieve analyst estimations. Now, let鈥檚 check out聽 the fundamentals of Apple. Starting with health,聽聽
[325]
the company has a current ratio of 1.07. This聽 indicates solid financial health and no problems聽聽
[333]
in meeting short-term obligations. Regarding聽 growth, Apple鈥檚 earnings per share grows by聽聽
[340]
22% on average every year, when looking at the聽 past five years. Just this year, Apple鈥檚 revenue聽聽
[347]
grew by 33%, which is quite impressive. Apple聽 is also one of the most profitable businesses.聽聽
[355]
It has a return on assets of 27%, which is better聽 than 96% of competitors. The industry average is聽聽
[365]
3.1%, so we can notice how Apple is superior to聽 industry peers when looking at profits. Lastly,聽聽
[374]
its valuation. Apple has a price to earnings ratio聽 of 28.72, which only outperforms 27% of industry聽聽
[385]
competition. This figure indicates that the Apple聽 stock is considered expensive at this moment, when聽聽
[392]
comparing the stock price to earnings. On to the聽 technical analysis of Apple. Both short and long聽聽
[400]
term trends are positive, as you can see in the聽 chart. The stock currently trades at $156 dollars,聽聽
[408]
with several support zones. One ranges from聽 $138 to $139, another from $145 to $148 dollars聽聽
[420]
between $150 and $152. The stock keeps聽 rising, and is trading near its 52-week high.聽聽
[430]
Looking at the stock performance of the company,聽 it can be seen that Apple is quite the growth聽聽
[435]
stock. The stock began rising slowly in 2010,聽 almost three decades since its IPO. Recently,聽聽
[444]
the stock has been growing consistently. In 5聽 years, the stock climbed 470%, 254% in the past 3聽聽
[455]
years, and 31% since last year. Even recently, the聽 stock jumped 21% in value since the start of 2021,聽聽
[466]
3% of that has been just from the past month.聽 And now, the facts that matter the most.聽聽
[474]
What are the future expectations of Apple? Will聽 it keep rising? Let鈥檚 find out. To begin with,聽聽
[482]
Apple aims to innovate a new battery design which聽 can radically reduce the cost of batteries. This聽聽
[489]
will allow Apple to move forward with self-driving聽 car technology, to produce a passenger vehicle聽聽
[496]
which could include its own breakthrough battery聽 technology, by 2024. This will revolutionize the聽聽
[505]
electric car industry should Apple innovate such聽 product, which will allow it to compete in the聽聽
[511]
EV realm, an industry worth over $120 billion, as聽 well as entering the EV battery world. Ultimately,聽聽
[521]
this can accelerate the growth potential of聽 Apple, which has already been growing for decades.聽聽
[528]
In fact, UBS Group expects that the stock price聽 of Apple can reach to $175 in the short term,聽聽
[537]
with JP Morgan forecasting it to reach $180.聽 This has been Mohammed Zarrouq, chief analyst聽聽

of Gulf First Solution, and I hope you enjoyed聽 the video. Want to invest in Apple? Visit the聽聽
