Channel: Chemical Guys

[4]
Welcome to the Chemical Guys Detail Garage.
[6]
In today's episode we are going to be showing you guys how to remove stains from your carpets
[10]
and floor mats.
[11]
So, we've got this Toyota Four Runner and the owner takes this thing offroading and
[16]
it occasionally get's really nasty with grease or any kind of mud that's on there.
[21]
So, today we are going to start by vacuuming the floor mats and I am going to show you
[24]
guys one of the quickest and most effective ways to return that factory
[27]
finish to your floor mats.
[42]
So, after vacuuming, we've removed the heavier, loose dirt and debris and this has prepared
[46]
us for the next step.
[47]
We are actually going to start scrubbing away the deep, set-in stains.
[49]
So, over here, we have our Fabric Clean and this is going to be the foaming agent that we
[53]
are going to be using today to revive that soft feeling as well as remove any stains
[57]
and odors.
[61]
So, over here we already have our dilution bottle set up and our foaming Fabric Clean. This
[65]
is the product we've chosen today to lift up those deep set-in stains, remove any odors,
[69]
and also disinfect the floor mat.
[70]
So, what we are going to do here is give you guys a 50/50 breakdown.
[73]
I'll tape it down the center here, and we are going to clean one side to show you how awesome
[78]
this cleaner actually works and to show you guys the real before and after.
[90]
So, like I mentioned,
[90]
we already have our Foaming Fabric Clean diluted in one of these handy
[94]
dilution bottles.
[95]
We are going to be using 8:1 because this carpet has some pretty deep set in stains.
[98]
Look like some kind of grease, or tar that has embedded into the fabric.
[101]
So, this is going to help lift and suspend it so we can safely remove it off the mat.
[105]
Now, I'll spray the surface.
[109]
So, now we'll give this a chance to penetrate the fibers of the floor mat and while we're
[112]
doing that, we're gong to set up our drill.
[115]
We have ourselves a medium duty carpet brush.
[117]
This is a nice, stiff bristle brush that is going to help us scrub any deep set in stains
[121]
all while saving us time and energy.
[123]
I'll attach it to the drill and then we will slowly start spinning and building up speed
[130]
as we go.
[131]
I'll spray a little of the fabric clean into the brush. This will add some cleaning power.
[135]
You can use this on any color fabric, you can use it on floor mats, on seats, on anything
[139]
to remove those deep set in stains and revive that factory look.
[142]
We'll start by slowly spreading it and then we will work those stains out of the floor mats
[183]
So, now, I'm just wiping off any excess Fabric Clean and you can see that there is a huge
[186]
difference between the dirty, greasy side, and the thoroughly clean and disinfected side.
[190]
So, like I keep mentioning, the Fabric Clean penetrates the surface and it's going to help
[194]
lift up any deep set in stains as well as any odors or anything else that's causing
[198]
your floor mats to look not so great.
[200]
I'm going to take off the tape to show you guys the real 50/50 and in the mean time,
[205]
you guys can head over our website and check out these products for yourself.
