So if you want to record your voice using your smartphone's mic professionally

Then you have to focus on two things,

the first main thing one is that, you speak loudly in your mic

whatever it is, just say it loudly. Not like to yell or scream, no, nothing like that.

you just increase the volume a bit and then speak so that the microphone can easily catch the input.

then you can edit it, reduce it or increase it when you are editing it's volume.

now the second main thing that matters is the position in which you are holding your phone to record voice

because if you do this and directly bring the microphone close to your mouth and do the voice over

then you will hear the "bbbb" and "ssss" sound a lot. You will understand when you

use earphones to listen to it after recording it.

So if you want to voice over using your smartphone

then the main position to hold your phone is this. Or this. If you do voice over in this postion

then what happens is that, when you say something the air comes out your mouth goes straight

so look, i've done some research and i came to know that the recording app that comes in your smartphone

cannot take the input from your microphone that well

so if you want to unlock the highest possibility of your smartphones microphone to take input

then you wil have to install an application and it's name is RecForge II.

you can call it an amazing recording application and there is one more called Smart Voice Recorder

that i used earlier but now i've liked this app very much. Not sponsored.

when you open this app then you can see how it looks. And i had recorded some samples before

that's why it's showing some files here. Anyways you can see, it simply shows you a record button

but first make sure you tap on the microphone button at the top.

after tapping, you can see the option below effects, remember to disable this noise suppressor

it will be good for recording.

as you can see, as soon as i tap on this record button, here it will show you cool bars

you can see, it looks very good and one more thing, if you notice in the bottom

you will also get an option to control frequency.

it's advantage is that, you can control the input of the mic in your smartphone.

like as you can see, if i reduce it, you can see, the bars here

even if i speak louder, still the input level according to the bars is showing very less.

and when i increase it, you can see how high the bars go, ears are going to explode man.

So according to your environment you can customise the input level here. Your wish. However you want it.

the voice input controller given to you here, it's main benefit is that

suppose you belong from some place where there is a lot of noise around

and due to that you have troubles in voice recording then you can try this out

because here you can decrease the input level and easily do voice over by bringing it close to face.

with that you will hear very less background noise.

so this was the best app to record voice so that you can easily and professionaly record voice.

now about the noise in the voice, how to remove it from the recording?

after that, how to enhance it such that your voice feels a bit deep

and if you speak low, how to make it loud and if you talk very loudly then how to compress it.

there are many silly things as such that you can correct from your smartphone. Really.

So the name of the application is called, Lexis Audio Editor, as you can see it looks like this.

and it's completely free on playstore and NOT sponsored.

This app is the audacity of android. Audacity is a software in which you can directly edit audio on computer.

and you can reduce the noise and the interesting part is that this software is completely free.

Anyways, coming to the point, the lexis audio editor app is also free.

when you open it, you can see an interface like this and it's in landscape mode by default.

Anyways first you have to it, tap on the open button to open any audio file.

So i'll choose any file from here that i had recorded from Recforge

So i've selected and let's open so you can see there are some noises

and if you want to reduce them then tap on the three dots here and also tap on the effects option

So yes, Boom. There are many types of advanced options here which are available in audacity.

as you can see here are Normalize, Reverse, Change speed, Noise reduction, Compressor, Equalizer, Echo

Reverb, Vocoder and many more options are available. You can apply them all one by one.

I will show you a demo, if i tap on noise reduction here and yes everything is set here.

if you want to customise it, then you can manually do it and you can see i tap on apply here

and it's working and you can see that the first bars are a bit wide but now these bars are reduced.

Meaning the background noise is fully cleared.

So you just saw how simple it is to record a voice through your android smartphone

as a startup, that time, neither did i have DSLR nor any professional mic,

I used to do everything on my smartphone, i used my smartphone for the first six months to do voice over

after that editing, whatever there is. Noise reduction, whatever.

So Today i've revealed that i've used my smartphone to record, voice over, edit, everything for the first 6 months

If you want to startup on anything then it's not necessary that
