now you guys I love organizing with

Dollar Tree items and over the years
[86]
I've done lots of different projects
[88]
like organizing my car I've organized my
[91]
fridge and pantry and I always use a lot
[94]
of Dollar Tree products to organize our
[96]
school supplies but today I'm here to
[98]
share five back-to-school hacks and
[100]
these are all based on problems that I
[103]
experienced last year cack number one
[106]
and that's all about getting everyone
[108]
out the door on time
[110]
without forgetting anything this was
[113]
definitely a struggle for us last year
[115]
but here's my solution I've created a
[118]
checklist that the kids can use to help
[121]
remind themselves if they have
[123]
everything they need before they head
[125]
out the door in the entryway of our
[127]
house we have an area designated for
[129]
backpacks hats jackets and things like
[133]
that this is definitely an area that the
[135]
kids will visit before they head out the
[138]
door in the morning so that's why I put
[140]
this checklist right in that spot on
[142]
this list I have simple reminders and I
[145]
even have pictures for my youngest kids
[147]
who aren't reading it things like their
[149]
homework their backpack their water
[152]
bottle their lunch whether or not
[155]
they've brushed their teeth or their
[157]
hair these things are all on this list
[159]
and if you'd like to print out your own

so I printed out my list and put it
[167]
inside of one of these reusable dry
[170]
erase pockets from the Dollar Tree I
[172]
love these things

and every time I see them at the Dollar
[175]
Tree I definitely stock up it's
[177]
basically a little plastic envelope and
[180]
you can actually write on the outside
[181]
with a dry erase marker they're super
[184]
convenient and they come in all
[185]
different colors and then I just
[187]
attached it to the wall using a command
[189]
hook which I also got at the Dollar Tree
[191]
that way I can easily remove it anytime
[194]
I want to and that brings me to hack
[196]
number two this hack is great if you're
[198]
a homeschool mom but it's also great if
[201]
you're a mom that has kids that are
[202]
trying to get their homework done and
[204]
you have younger kids that also need
[207]
attention quite often my older kids will
[209]
be working on a project and I told their
[212]
Griffin can be a little bit pesky so I
[216]
have a solution for that
[218]
I went to the Dollar Tree and I bought
[219]
one of these white plastic bins this is
[222]
definitely one of my favorite organizing
[224]
bins from the Dollar Tree while I was at
[226]
the Dollar Tree I picked up several
[228]
items just for this bin just for my
[232]
toddler things that are educational and
[234]
fun projects that he can work on while
[238]
the older kids are doing their
[240]
schoolwork basically things to keep him
[242]
busy the trick is is that this bin only
[246]
comes down from the high shelf when the
[248]
older kids are working on their
[250]
schoolwork so the items in this bin stay
[253]
new and special not something he gets to
[255]
play with all the time and when he's
[257]
done we put it right back on the high
[259]
shelf and that brings me to hack number
[262]
three which is another designated bin on
[264]
a high shelf this is another white bin
[267]
from the Dollar Tree except this one is
[270]
meant to solve our library woes it's not
[273]
uncommon for us to get lots of late fees
[276]
at the library or have to buy a book
[278]
entirely because it got lost in fact
[281]
this was such a large problem that I
[283]
stopped getting library books altogether
[285]
but this year this simple dollar bin
[289]
hopefully solve that problem this is
[291]
gonna give us a designated place to keep
[293]
the library books so they don't get
[295]
mixed in with the rest of our books that
[298]
way they're less likely to get lost or
[301]
forgotten about and just like with
[303]
Griffin spin I've labeled the outside
[305]
and put these on high shelves so the
[308]
kids can't reach them by themselves and
[310]
of course the label is from the Dollar
[312]
Tree as well these are my favorite ones
[315]
because they're removable next up I have
[318]
hack number four and that's all about
[320]
not forgetting important dates now last
[323]
year I've made a command center for my
[326]
family it hangs on the back of a door
[328]
right next to my office closet and I
[331]
have a separate video on that if you
[333]
want to check it out but this year I've
[334]
made several changes to the command
[337]
center and everything that I used came
[339]
from the Dollar Tree now these are
[341]
actually hanging on a metal sheet pan
[343]
meant to collect oil under your car and
[346]
that pan actually came from Walmart it
[348]
was not just a dollar but everything
[350]
else on it definitely did come from the
[353]
Dollar Tree this command center is meant
[355]
for everyone in the family to see so
[358]
that we can all stay on the same page it
[360]
has things like our weekly cleaning
[363]
routine the kids morning routine a club
[366]
to keep us on time hopefully and then
[368]
the big changes are the calendars I
[371]
added a printout of the entire school
[374]
year calendar because last year
[377]
quite a few times I thought my daughter
[380]
had a school activity on a certain day I
[382]
drove all the way out to the school come
[385]
to find out there was no school on that
[387]
day because I forgot to check the
[389]
calendar so now it's posted there I'll
[393]
also have it in my phone so hopefully we
[395]
won't have that problem again I've also
[397]
included four months worth of calendars
[400]
on the command center as well that way
[402]
no special dates will sneak up on me
[405]
again I'll be able to see four months
[407]
all at once and that brings me to hack
[409]
number five which is about lunches you
[412]
guys know I love to
[414]
make fun lunches for my kids but there
[416]
has been some issues with these fun
[419]
lunches and the worst one being me
[422]
forgetting to wash out their lunch
[424]
containers at the end of the day more
[427]
than once I went to make their lunch in
[429]
the morning and found that one container
[432]
would be missing and that's because it
[434]
was left in a backpack overnight and let
[437]
me just say those are not so pleasant to
[440]
open kind of stinky and kind of gross so
[443]
here's the solution I got another one of
[446]
my favorite white plastic bins from the
[448]
Dollar Tree and I've placed it in a
[450]
prominent place in my house it's next to
[453]
the kitchen and everyone can see it now
[456]
I'm hoping to train the kids that when
[458]
they come in from school that they
[460]
remove their lunchbox and put it
[462]
directly into this white bin that way I
[465]
can easily see the bin when I'm washing
[467]
up the dishes and I'll remember to wash
[470]
out their containers I hope you found
