Welcome to the Online Services Pass-through Entity Tax annual return filing demonstration.

Begin by logging in to your New York State Online Services business account with your

username and password, and completing the security captcha to continue.

Select Services located in the upper left of your Account Summary page.

From the dropdown menu, S-corporation filers can select Corporation tax , then select PTET

web file . Partnership filers can select Partnership tax , then select PTET web file . This will

bring you to the Form Selection page.

In the section headed PTET Forms , you ll be able to select the form you wish to file

from the list of available PTET forms, including annual elections, estimated tax payments,

annual filing, filing extensions, and an option to view or cancel scheduled estimated tax

To begin your filing, select the form you wish to file by clicking its corresponding

If you are filing an annual return and have any saved filings, you ll be brought to the

Saved Filings page.

Any saved filings will be displayed in the section headed Filings in progress . To continue

the filing, select the year in the Filing period column.

To delete a saved filing, click the delete icon beside it.

To begin a new filing, select Start New Return .

This will bring you to the Filing Information page.

In the section headed Filing Information , select the filing period from the dropdown menu and

indicate if you have any PTE taxable income to report for the selected filing period.

Next, indicate whether the entity will be filing as a partnership or an s-corporation.

Then, let us know whether the partnership has more or less than 100 partners or members.

Finally, let us know whether you will be manually entering your partner information or providing

To start, we ll show you how to manually enter information, but partnerships with less than

When all information has been entered, select Continue . On the Pass-through Entity Tax

Calculation Summary page, provide us with the pass-through entity taxable income, then

When you re ready to proceed, select Continue . If you chose to manually enter your partner

information, you ll be brought to the Shareholder, Member, or Partner Details page.

You can stop and save your work at any time by selecting Save and Exit, located on the

If an overpayment amount has been computed, it will be reviewed and processed by the Department.

When you re ready to proceed, select Continue . The Pay from Bank Account page will allow

you to make a direct debit payment from a checking or savings account.

To make a payment, enter your bank routing number.

Next, enter and confirm your bank account number.

Select the account type from the drop-down box and enter the name of the account holder.

If you d like us to save your bank account information for future filings, check the

box labeled Save bank account . If the return you re filing is not past due, you ll have

the option to schedule your payment for a future date.

You can t schedule a payment later than the return s due date.

If you ve partially paid or if we determine that you owe an additional amount, we ll bill

you for the remaining balance.

We won t debit your account for more than the amount authorized.

When you re ready to review your return, select Continue.

To make changes to your filing, select Edit . Once you select Submit, you cannot cancel

If no changes are needed, review the eSignature section, and select Submit.

On the Transaction Confirmation page, you ll receive a confirmation number to show that

your return has been received.

You should print this confirmation page for your records by selecting Print.

To print or save a copy of your full return, select View/Print Forms.

To file another return or schedule a PTET estimated tax payment, select File Another
