Accendo Medicare Supplement Review : 14% Household Discount! - YouTube
Channel: unknown
[0]
Well, the Accendo Medicare Supplement is
finally here!
[4]
And if you're shopping for a Medicare
supplement plan,
[6]
you came to the right place.
[7]
And in your shopping, or you're
venturing on the web,
[10]
you may have come across the name
Accendo.
[14]
And your first question was likely, who
the heck is Accendo?
[18]
Because that was my first question too.
So don't feel bad about that.
[21]
Now, Accendo is actually owned by CVS
and their family of insurance products.
[26]
CVS acquired Aetna back in 2019.
[29]
So it's very similar company offering
the same great Medicare supplement plans
[33]
with one slight twist.
[35]
They have an outstanding household
discount of 14%,
[39]
which is the highest in the industry.
[41]
So we definitely want to discuss if this
plan is available in your state.
[45]
My name is Russell Noga with
Medisupps.com. And I am the owner.
[48]
We've been in business 11 years now,
helping people with their Medicare
[52]
Supplement Insurance to learn which
products are best for them.
[55]
As well as shop the rates for you every
year,
[57]
including when you get a rate increase.
And you will.
[60]
To make sure you're not overpaying on
your
[62]
Medicare Supplement Plan.
[64]
Now because Accendo is a new division of
CVS,
[67]
it doesn't have its own financial rating
per se.
[70]
But it falls under Aetna Senior
Supplemental Insurance,
[73]
which is A rated.
[75]
So just about as good as it gets when it
comes to their financial rating.
[79]
So Accendo was launched in March of
2020,
[81]
with about 15 states available when they
first came out.
[85]
And more and more being added currently.
[87]
So let's take a look at the states that
Accendo is in now where you can get
[91]
Accendo Medicare supplements and see if
your state's on the list.
[95]
You can currently enrolled in one of the
Accendo Medicare supplement plans in the
[100]
following states:
[102]
Arkansas, Arizona, Georgia, Iowa,
Illinois, Indiana, Michigan,
[110]
Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska,
[114]
New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania,
South Carolina, Tennessee, Delaware,
[121]
Texas, and Wisconsin.
[124]
Now, don't worry if you don't see your
state on the list.
[127]
Accendo plans to expand their coverage
into many more states
[130]
for the rest of this year, as well as
into next year.
[133]
Now, if you do see your state on the
list, give us a call right away.
[137]
Let's see what the premiums are.
[138]
I'll be giving some sample premiums in
this video, but we'll see exactly what
[142]
they are for you in your state today
with or without that discount,
[147]
because it's probably going to be a
great option for you.
[149]
You can call us direct at 1-888-891-0229
right now.
[155]
And we'll show you what the premiums are
for you and a spouse if you've got one.
[159]
It's to see if you qualify for that big
household discount.
[163]
Now let me explain a little bit about
how this discount works.
[166]
Aside from the fact that it's 14%, which
is the highest of any company in the
[171]
industry, is you just simply have to
live with somebody.
[174]
It doesn't matter what age they are, and
they don't even have to be applying for
[178]
coverage like you are
[179]
you will still qualify for the 14% household
discount.
[184]
This is a great opportunity to take
advantage of nice low premiums
[188]
with an outstanding company.
[190]
Now, for you folks who are not living
with somebody and you live alone.
[195]
Perfectly fine, because Accendo still
likely has some of the lowest premiums
[200]
in your area.
[201]
Again, give us a call at 1-888-891-0229.
[206]
And in about two minutes, we can find
out if it's still a great option for
[210]
you.
[211]
So now that we've learned a little bit
more about who Accendo is as a company.
[215]
Let's talk about some of the plans that
they offer.
[217]
They offer the most popular plans very
similar to Aetna,
[221]
and some of the other big companies.
[223]
Those plans will include Medicare Plan
A, Medicare Supplement Plan F,
[229]
Medicare Supplement Plan G, and Medicare
Supplement Plan N.
[234]
So just to give you a quick breakdown of
each of those plans.
[237]
Medicare Supplement Plan A is a core
basic plan that almost nobody ever goes
[242]
on.
[242]
Sometimes people under 65, that's the
only plan offered in their states.
[247]
Then we have Medicare Supplement Plan F.
[250]
For years, this was the most popular
plan because it offered 100% coverage.
[254]
Accendo is offering this plan.
[256]
However, if you're eligible for Medicare
on January 1 of 2020 or later, you're
[262]
not even allowed to enroll in a Medicare
Supplement Plan F.
[266]
Only people who had a Plan F prior to
that date can switch to an Accendo
[270]
Medicare Supplement Plan F.
[272]
And if you've got a Plan F and you dying
to keep it,
[275]
I don't typically recommend that you do.
[277]
We can talk about that if you give me a
call.
[279]
And you want to check out Accendo's
rates and their Plan F rates,
[283]
by all means, you give us a call.
[285]
And we can see how Medicare Supplement
Plan F for Accendo and their premiums
[291]
goes against what you're currently
paying.
[293]
Plan F, again, not being offered
anymore.
[295]
It's what's called a Closed Risk Pool.
[297]
They are experiencing very high rate
increases and will likely continue into
[301]
the future.
[302]
So what we should be looking at is
something towards Accendo Medicare
[306]
Supplement Plan G for you.
[309]
Now, Medicare Supplement Plan G
currently is the most popular plan,
[313]
given the fact that you only have one
small deductible to pay and then it acts
[317]
like a Plan F and you get 100% coverage.
[320]
And Accendo Medicare Supplement Plan G
will most definitely be their most
[324]
popular plan now and likely into the
future for quite some time.
[329]
That's because of that outstanding
coverage and a relatively low premium.
[334]
So you might be asking, "Well, how much
is this deductible?"
[336]
It's $198 in 2020.
[339]
In 2021, that deductible is going to go
up slightly as it does every year.
[344]
Again, just one out of pocket expense on
Plan G aside from your monthly premium,
[349]
which is that Part B deductible.
[352]
Once that's paid, you'll get 100%
coverage of the gaps of Part A and B
[356]
Medicare on all approved expenses.
[359]
Now, while Plan G is the most popular
and of course has great coverage,
[362]
there's also another great option that
many, many people have,
[366]
which is Medicare Supplement Plan N.
[368]
Accendo will be offering this in all of
their states.
[371]
And it's definitely something want to
consider.
[373]
Plan N is very similar to Plan G where
you still pay that Part B deductible
[378]
each year and then get the 20%
co-insurance paid for.
[382]
With Plan N however, you might have a
small co-pay for each doctor's visit
[387]
after you meet that deductible.
[389]
That co-pay will never be more than $20.
[392]
In fact, it could be less than 20, or
there could be no co-pay at all.
[396]
Now another expense that you might get
on Plan N is if you visit the emergency
[401]
room and you're not admitted, you'll
have to pay a $50 co-pay.
[404]
Not a big deal because if you're not
admitted to the emergency room,
[407]
that's a good thing, pay the 50 bucks
and go home.
[411]
Now, another difference between Plan N
and Plan G is something called
[414]
Part B Excess Charges.
[415]
Those are covered with Plan G. With Plan
N, those are not covered.
[419]
However, his is very rare.
[421]
In my 11 years of business, never had
anybody get an excess charge.
[425]
What this means is if your doctor does
not accept the assigned rates of
[429]
Medicare,
[430]
they can charge up to 15% extra of the
approved expense.
[434]
It's estimated that over 97% of all
doctors in this country do accept
[438]
the assigned rates.
[439]
Therefore, you'll probably never run
into this, and plan N will be a great
[443]
option for you even regardless of that.
[446]
So there you have it. Accendo Medicare
Supplement Plans,
[449]
what they offer as well as the discount,
and those low premiums.
[453]
Give us a call today. Let's see if
they're available in your state.
[455]
We shopped the rates every year for our
clients, when you get a rate increase.
[459]
We watch them so you don't have to, and
there's never a cost for our services.
[463]
Call us now at 1-888-891-0229, and we
can't wait to talk with you.
[469]
Thanks, and have a great day.
