[27]
Hello and welcome to the 3rd part of our motorcycle tour in the Dolomites. Today we will show you a
[33]
few lesser known passes such as the Duran Pass, the Staulanzapass and the Cibiana Pass.
[39]
But on the way to the Three Peaks we also inevitably drive over the well-known Tre Croci pass.
[85]
The Duran Pass, called Passo Duran in Italian, is a little-
[89]
known pass in the southern Dolomites of the Belluno province. An often narrow
[94]
and winding road leads up to the forest and meadow pass.
[97]
At the top of the pass at 1605 meters you have an impressive view of Monte Pelmo.
[187]
Small but nice - this is the best way to characterize the 1773 meter high Staulanzapass. The Forcella
[196]
Staulanza is an Italian mountain pass also in the province of Belluno. It
[201]
connects the Zoldotal in the south with the Cadoretal in the north. The panorama of
[207]
the 3218 meter high Monte Civetta in the southwest and the 3168 meter high Monte Pelmo in the east is particularly beautiful .
[283]
The Tre Croci Pass, in Italian Passo Tre Croci, connects the Olympic city of Cortina with the Three Peaks.
[289]
From its 1809 meter high saddle there is a good view of some of the main characters of the
[295]
Sexten Dolomites: Monte Cristallo, the Three Peaks, and the Marmolada Group. If you turn in the direction of
[302]
Dobbiaco, the path leads past Lake Misurina to the Three Peaks. The toll road to the Auronzo hut
[308]
is usually drivable from the end of May to the end of October and costs 20 euros per motorcycle.
[343]
The Cibiana Pass is also a little-known road pass in the southern Dolomites. At the
[348]
top of the Forcella Cibiana pass at 1530 meters you will find the inn, which is open all year round,
[355]
so perfect for taking a break and reviewing the day.
