[5]
now attend a major development in our
[6]
final disrespects investigation out of
[8]
marlboro county south carolina thanks
[10]
for joining us tonight i'm brian blakely
[12]
and i'm alicia barnes we've now
[13]
confirmed deputy probate judge tammy
[15]
bullock is under investigation by the
[17]
state's highest court and the state's
[19]
investigation started after we showed
[21]
these videos depicting bullock and
[23]
others plundering through a dead man's
[25]
home back in january now the man's wife
[28]
who suffers from dementia was inside
[30]
while this all went down this also
[32]
happened as the dead man's sister was
[34]
rushing toward south carolina from
[36]
indiana those videos also showed some of
[38]
the group carrying property from the
[40]
home and loading it into vehicles
[43]
days after those videos were recorded
[45]
buttonsville police charged judge
[47]
bullock with pointing a gun at a
[49]
roommate's head during an argument
[51]
inside the judge's home tonight fox 46
[53]
chief investigator jody barr has
[54]
confirmed the south carolina supreme
[56]
court's disciplinary unit is also
[58]
investigating deputy probate judge tammy
[60]
bullock
[70]
briana troutman says she thought she was
[72]
about to see her mother killed right in
[74]
front of her i seen
[76]
my mom on the floor with her hand
[79]
like this and tammy was like this and
[83]
she was like i'll shoot you shonda
[86]
troutman says she heard the argument
[88]
between her mother and tammy bullock
[89]
that morning in february and when she
[92]
looked out the bedroom door tammy was in
[94]
front of her so i was face to face with
[95]
tammy my mom was in the middle
[98]
and she was just standing over like this
[101]
with the gun and my mom had her hands up
[103]
like this so i went around and i got my
[105]
mom up like this and i looked at tammy
[108]
and i was like what's wrong with you
[110]
troutman has since moved to colorado she
[112]
came back home this week to visit and to
[115]
testify at bullock's trial did you think
[117]
that she was going to shoot her yeah i
[120]
really did
[121]
because she didn't have her hand like
[123]
this she had her finger on the trigger
[127]
so if her finger would have if my mom
[130]
would have tried to grab for that gun or
[133]
move or grab something to defend herself
[135]
she would have shot her and i know she
[136]
would have you could she you could just
[138]
tell by the way she was standing the
[140]
right way she was acting the way she was
[142]
looking just she was she was really
[145]
wanting to she was waiting for my mom to
[147]
give her another reason why she should
[149]
pull that trigger a bennettsville police
[151]
investigator interviewed marlboro county
[152]
deputy probate judge tammy bullock
[154]
shonda nash and brianna troutman then
[157]
filed this report bullock's statement
[160]
presented a self-defense claim the judge
[163]
admitted she carries two handguns and
[165]
the morning of the argument could not
[167]
fit them both inside her purse
[170]
bullock says she had one gun in her hand
[172]
when she walked out of her bedroom and
[174]
said that nash proceeded to jump in her
[176]
face while engaged in a fighting stance
[180]
but bullock told police she never
[182]
pointed the gun at anyone
[184]
something shonda nash told us in august
[187]
was a lie i was on the ground and she
[189]
was over me like this she was standing
[191]
right above me and had it like right to
[193]
my face and i was looking up at her and
[195]
she was saying i will shoot you shonda
[198]
the city did not arrest bullock or get a
[200]
warrant to charge her under the state's
[203]
felony level pointing and presenting
[205]
charge instead the city handed the judge
[208]
a traffic ticket charging her with a
[210]
misdemeanor city ordinance of pointing
[213]
and presenting i thought they were going
[215]
to actually go
[216]
arrest her and herpe charged and then we
[219]
would go to court
[220]
i never thought that it would just be
[222]
handled on a traffic ticket shonda nash
[224]
is worried the city's case against tammy
[226]
bullock may be over before it ever
[229]
reaches the courtroom what are your
[230]
concerns about what's going on inside
[233]
that police department with this case
[236]
that they're just wanting to cover it up
[237]
and make it go away did the
[239]
bennettsville police department in any
[241]
way do tammy bullock a favor by charging
[243]
her this way absolutely not after our
[246]
report aired last week bennettsville
[247]
police chief kevin miller asked sled to
[250]
review his department's prosecution sled
[253]
declined telling the chief sled sees no
[256]
information or evidence to show
[258]
bennettsville police or any police
[260]
officer did anything wrong and would not
[263]
open an investigation into how the
[265]
department handled bullock's case sled
[268]
told the chief to have the solicitor or
[270]
the city's own attorney review the
[273]
prosecution the chief also confirmed yet
[276]
another investigation into judge tammy
[278]
bullock this one you may be seated by
[280]
the south carolina supreme court's
[283]
office of disciplinary council we have
[285]
received a subpoena for records
[288]
pertaining to the case
[290]
and we have fulfilled
[292]
those particular
[294]
subpoena needs wants and questions
[297]
regarding this case and that has been
[299]
forwarded to our city attorney so they
[301]
can properly go through the channels to
[303]
ensure that that information is given to
[305]
that state agency the police chief was
[307]
the only law enforcer in marlborough
[309]
county to agree to an interview during
[312]
our months-long final disrespects
[314]
investigation although questions remain
[316]
as to how his department handled the
[319]
judge bullock prosecution this interview
[321]
was important to me because let's face
[323]
it i could have hid behind a desk i
[325]
could have hid behind a phone
[327]
that's very easy to do is to hide
[329]
i'm out here in the open
[331]
i want people to know you know
[333]
this is the truth these are the facts
[335]
the fact is the benefit police
[337]
department is 100 percent acting in good
[340]
faith on everything we've done and we
[342]
will continue to do with this case or
[344]
any case the chief told me the city
[346]
attorney will handle the prosecution
[348]
against tammy bullock which in city
[350]
court is usually handled by the charging
[353]
police officer judge bullock pleaded not
[356]
guilty and has again ignored our latest
[359]
request for comment her jury trial is
[361]
set for next month in bennettsville for
[364]
fox 46 i'm chief investigator jody barr
