Hey everyone! It's the drea! Welcome back! It is not the 14th yet so I have another Valentine's
[5]
day themed video for you. If you thought the I ♥ U pop up card we made last time was cool
[11]
you're going to love the magic or never ending card we'll be making today. It is extremely
[18]
easy to make so lets just get into the video!
[22]
The things you'll need are: construction paper you can either use two colors or just one
[28]
ruler, pencil
[30]
scissors, scoring tool (like an empty mechanical
[34]
pencil or a small dotting tool) and glue or double sided tape. I'll be using
[39]
a glue stick.
[40]
Lets begin!
[41]
Start by measuring and cutting out 4 15cm by 7.5 cm rectangles of paper. If you're using
[49]
two different colors of paper cut 2 from each color to make 4. Put 3
[54]
rectangles aside and leave one to
[56]
work on. Place the rectangle in a standing vertical
[60]
position and with your ruler mark and score a horizontal line 3.75 cm away from the top
[68]
edge and 3.75 cm away from the bottom edge.
[83]
Then fold and crease both of these lines. It's best if you crease them forward and backward.
[96]
It should look something like this. Repeat to the other 3 rectangles.
[100]
Now take a rectangle and place it vertically once more
[104]
with your ruler mark a vertical line at 3.75cm running from the top edge to the top
[112]
crease mark and at the bottom running from the bottom edge to the bottom crease mark.
[124]
It should look something like this. Repeat on the other rectangle of the same color.
[128]
Once that's done place both rectangles vertically next to eachother, make sure they're
[134]
aligned and leave a tiny gap in between them, this separation should be a small one but
[140]
it still must be there or else it'll be difficult to open the letter.
[144]
Add glue or double sided tape on the top 2 outer squares.
[153]
take another rectangle which now should be of a different color and glue it horizontally
[158]
on top of the 2 vertical ones. It should be aligned with the top edge.
[163]
Press down firmly to make sure it's well secured, and repeat
[167]
at the bottom, add glue or double sided tape on the bottom 2 outer squares.
[178]
Take the last rectangle, and glue it horizontally on top, it should be aligned with the bottom
[183]
edge. This way there's a small gap between these two rectangles as well.
[189]
Press down firmly to make sure it's well secured.
[191]
And it should look something like this. At this point you can go back and erase the undesired pencil marks.
[201]
Now open the letter and crease down on the folds.
[208]
If there's any excess paper sticking out anywhere use your scissors to trim it off.
[218]
Open the letter again and crease down on the folds once more.
[221]
If the paper happens to overlap use your scissors to trim a bit of the edge off so
[227]
it doesn't overlap anymore, continue opening the letter making sure
[231]
to crease the folds and checking that no excess paper sticks out and the paper doesn't overlap.
[237]
Meanwhile fixing it if does.
[242]
At the end the letter must open without any problem.
[257]
I think this is a good size but if you want to make it bigger you can use 20cm by 10cm
[262]
rectangles, mark the horizontal line 5cm away from
[266]
the top and bottom edge and
[268]
finally mark the last vertical lines at 5cm to make the outer squares.
[274]
Repeat the process as normal. And you're done!
[277]
Write your message and decorate to your
[279]
heart's desire and it's sure to make an awesome letter.
[283]
