DENATURALIZATION - Are You at Risk of Losing Citizenship? (2018) - YouTube
Channel: unknown
[0]
hi friends are you at risk for
[2]
denaturalization
[3]
are you at risk for being denaturalize
[7]
what is that exactly I'm gonna talk
[9]
about this very issue in this video this
[13]
is a hot issue right now because it is
[15]
touching us US citizens so stick with me
[19]
watch this video to find out whether
[20]
you're at risk or whether you can simply
[23]
relax stick with me denaturalization
[34]
that's a very big word let's break it
[36]
down for a minute here so as you know
[39]
you for those of you who've been
[40]
following me you are smart about
[42]
immigration okay so I'm not going to
[43]
spend a great deal of time on what is
[45]
the naturalization but naturalization as
[48]
you know is a process for an immigrant
[51]
to become a US citizen and so you must
[54]
first have a green card and then after
[57]
five years in most cases you then become
[60]
eligible to become a naturalized US
[62]
citizen or three years in cases of
[65]
people who obtained their green card
[67]
through marriage what's happening today
[70]
so today of course we know we are living
[73]
under a very aggressive executive right
[77]
president Trump has determined to be
[80]
very aggressive on immigration and so
[83]
he's going after a lot of different
[85]
people and now the big news is those
[88]
folks who became a US citizen after
[92]
being ordered removed this is a super
[96]
important point for you to understand
[99]
because I don't want you to be fearful
[101]
if you're not at risk of being
[103]
denaturalize who should be fearful today
[106]
who should be quaking right now who
[109]
should be trembling right now and
[111]
basically it is those people who were
[114]
ordered removed or deported by an
[118]
immigration judge but they did not leave
[120]
the country or they may have left and
[122]
came back under a different identity and
[125]
the government just didn't catch up with
[127]
them yet or they just simply changed
[130]
their names right they just changed
[132]
their identity
[133]
when they were seeking naturalization
[135]
and so the government never connected
[138]
the dots that didn't connect the dots to
[141]
determine that these are the same people
[143]
the same individual who was ordered
[147]
deported back in 1999 potentially is the
[152]
same person who then became a
[154]
naturalized citizen in 2005 under a
[158]
different name and how in the world can
[160]
this happen it happens because the
[162]
government is made up of people human
[166]
beings okay mistakes happen and mistakes
[170]
happen when you have human beings who
[172]
don't have enough resources to track
[175]
everything and make sure everything is
[176]
okay and everything is in order so to
[179]
speak so what's happened is for any of
[182]
you who have gone through any major
[184]
immigration process you know that you
[185]
must go through biometrics right you
[188]
must go get your fingerprints done and
[191]
you must get an FBI background check
[195]
right based on your fingerprints that's
[197]
what the government is doing it is doing
[199]
an FBI background report on you so these
[203]
people they did their fingerprints back
[205]
in 1999 potentially if they were ordered
[208]
deported but what happened was after
[210]
they changed their identity along the
[213]
way and they became a US citizen when
[215]
they before they became a US citizen
[216]
when they applied for citizenship they
[219]
had to go back in and do fingerprints
[222]
again and so the government failed in
[225]
this regard they did not connect the
[228]
dots to determine that the person who
[230]
submitted a fingerprint back in 1999 is
[233]
the same individual who submitted a
[236]
fingerprint in 2005 when they were going
[239]
through the naturalization process so
[242]
yes those are the people who the
[245]
government has said that they will
[247]
follow they will prosecute I should say
[250]
is anyone else at risk maybe you might
[253]
be at risk if you in fact committed
[256]
fraud to get your papers okay
[260]
so if you committed fraud to get your
[261]
papers to get your green card the
[263]
government may drill down a bit further
[265]
and find
[266]
to you but if you did not commit any
[268]
fraud and procuring your citizenship you
[272]
should not be fearful at this point is
[275]
the government right to do this
[277]
absolutely yes because other people have
[281]
done the right thing they waited they
[283]
paid all their fees they did everything
[285]
the government said to do and they got
[288]
it the right way okay so we should not
[289]
be rewarding those who change their
[292]
identities just to scam the government
[294]
those are the people who are at risk for
[296]
denaturalization so if you did not
[298]
change your identity to become a US
[301]
citizen
[302]
you should not be worried right now so
[305]
again just to recap denaturalization
[310]
investigation is going on it's going to
[313]
take some time listen I don't work for
[315]
the government anymore but I used to
[317]
work for the government back in the day
[319]
and so I know that government is slow so
[324]
this is going to be a long process and
[327]
they are doing it because they now have
[329]
the money they have the resources under
[331]
President Trump to make this a priority
[334]
so don't worry if you're not the one who
[337]
changed his or her identity so that you
[340]
can become a US citizen
[342]
not to worry I hope this was helpful
